MAC 1 discovery ??

Hello all! Sorry didn’t this topic has been talked about before. I found some different reviews on it but they did not directly answer my conerns.
I am in the market for my first pcp. Have been going back and forth between the mrod and the disco. The mrod accruacy is superb but am not like the fact that it may be a chore to Hand pump? I have read all sorts of answers to how many pumps it takes to fill so I am not sure. If it were to take around 50 pumps or so from 2000 psi to 3000 psi then I could handle that.
Then I found the Mac 1 tunes that you can get for the disco. This peaked my interest in them because it may get me the accruacy I want with a hand pump friendly gun. Sub 2 inch groups would be great as I’ve see. Videos of many marauders achieving this.
So if anyone could give me some feed back on this dilemma, that would be great. I would like to hear some personal expierences with the Mac 1 tune on the disco.

I have both guns.
Benjamin Marauder is a great gun for the money for sure and its a far better gun than the discovery. I only shoot my Marauder between 2800psi and down to 2100psi. So i only have 700psi to make up for my 20FPS spread for most accurate shots. The marauder is also a multi shot repeater with a more ergonomic stock than the traditional stock found on the discovery. Discovery being single shot and far cheaper made (i.e. Plastic trigger group, Metal finsh) It's a farcry from the capability you'd get from having a multi shot, More accurate, Ridiculously quieter, and adjustable two stage trigger all found in the marauder.
That's not to say the Discovery isn't a capable gun, It's great for the price and you can do plenty of good fun with it. But for the extra money you'd have invested in a TKO muzzle brake and MAC1 tune. You could have a marauder with more capabilities options.

Just my two cents.
Thanks
Eric

I own both also, Eric was spot on with his post. The Marauder is heavier and longer, going from 2-3k was around 110 pumps with the Benji pump. Hill pumps are more efficient like 3 to Benji 4 pumps. .177 /.22 / or .25 same tube same number of pumps, different tunes you can fill less than 3K to suit your needs. The new regulated guns look nice and are receiving great reviews. Pumping will get OLD, and if you do any amount of shooting a tank will be in your future, then the dilemma driving to a fill source. The cost, along with the time and mileage might sway you to your own air source.
