Lube on ammo

Interesting to see the varying comments. From pledge to MM oil to shock oil. Im too new to this sport. If only those manufactures knew what people were doing with their products

Silicone oil or grease does not diesel under high pressure, it's stable at high temperature, it never dries out, it's safe for o-rings and it's usually food safe meaning that ingesting a small amount won't hurt you so I can't see much argument for anything else. Whatever works though, people like to choose for themselves.

What happened to the Lemon Pledge crowd? Is that still not a decent affordable option?

Pledger here also except I'm an orange pledger not the normal lemon pledger. Very easy to apply, affordable and accessible, got my 4 pack from amazon. 

This works pretty good. But I’m assuming any synthetic oil will do the job

What is your observation when it comes to barrel fouling? How often did you clean the barrel when no lube was used by you? How often do you clean now when lubing?

I don't shoot my .30 a lot but I know it goes at least 200 shots without any fouling. At 132 ft/lbs I only get about 12 shots from the 480cc bottle.

NSA slugs come lubed, but I still spray wd40 in the bag and shake. I use to clean and lube my pellets but too much of a hassle...
