Low Tech Target Stand

I needed to replace my target so today I pulled off the old and all the old one came with it. The 2x6's I used are eaten up so I made a new one quickly. I use pieces of plumbers tape to secure the stand to the hillside.

That will work! Does the plywood hold up better than boards?

I don't think so but I had these already cut and in the save bin. Once I see the pellets penetrate the plywood I'll replace it. I have several others that hold a single target and they too are ready for an upgrade.

Dam birds look like they get in the way of your targets,
You must throw a rock or something to scare them off , So you can target shoot, LOL.

Looks a lot better than the one i did today, filled a small cardboard box with old wrapped t-shirts, pinned a target to it and sharpened a wooden stick and pulled it to the ground and took a knife and made a hole in the bottom of the box wich i then put over the stick

When I was active on the Marauder forum there were quite a few folks that used the box and rag target box. The wood just last a bit longer I would think. You may have noticed I put a handle on top of mine to carry it around to different sites.

I finally got the new target set up and shot a magazine at 65 yards from the hood of my car. I have a long way to go to become confident enough to hunt at this range. But for me that is the fum of it. Lots of paper then some food.

More practice today or mañana.
I found the pic of my second group which was much worse. Adding a pic that shows the size of the target too. The two holes in the lower target are from my neighbor shooting his long bow. Also from 65 yards.
