Would like to try a scope on either my HW75 or the Zoraki, any recommendations. Would like something for eye relief about 24-30 inches.

You need a "pistol" scope, they come with a long eye relief. Most are only 1.5 to about 2x power magnification due to shakiness. However they do make higher mag handgun scopes but you will probably need to have a rest to keep a steady image. most scope mfgrs make handgun scopes..

I have a pistol scope on my Zoraki although I put rifle scopes on my HW44 and 2240. I have found the little 2x20 BSA scopes to be lightweight, inexpensive and werq fine although I put a Simmons 4x32 on my Zoraki because it is a bit brighter. Looks like they were discontinued but expect there are still some around on eBay.

Any of the 2X scopes will be fine.
I use Leopold 2X on most of my pistols except the .22lr & .223 TC Contenders.
They have 2-6X Bushnell on the .22 and a 2-6X TC on the .223..

Been scouring the internet, and looks like not many in the 2x range. I am basically wanting a straight tube, no enlarged objective bell. So far the only offerings seem to be Burris and BSA, and I will probably go the Burris route.

Ordered a Burris. Was playing around in my parts box and found a set of either Warn or Talley qd rings, found I could remove the recoil cross slot bar in one and use two rings on my Zoraki, one with the bar in place will fit the slot on the Zoraki, the other any place further back.

While awaiting the Burris scope I was playing with a Pinty enclosed red dot on my Zoraki. With only only one cross slot in the rail it sits so far forward that the lens cover will not fit, so I did some looking and found a 1/2" riser on Amazon that fits the bill. One screw full diameter to fit the slot and the rear screw is machined flat so the rail sits flat on the Zoraki rail just fine, Tried it with the Pinty green dot a few minutes, could only stand about ten shots as my shooting point is in the sun and temp was about 96, so not comfortable. I was using some cheap Crosman pointed pellets that were rather loose so accuracy was not great, but hitting a soda can at about 25 yards ok. When I can get out in a couple of mornings with cooler temps and some match pellets will see what it can do.
