Love to see hawks

I have a buddy who hunts with Harris Hawks. He catches and trains them, really remarkable birds. One year they caught over 200 rabbits while him and his dogs flushed them out of the thickets.

The property I hunt is flush with hawks, I leave them a bite to eat here and there.Here’s one eating a deer carcass that another hunter left at the edge of the property in a cardboard box.

Airgun Nation's member Tibor is a falconer. He has a couple of Harris Hawks. Maybe he'll chime in and share a few photos.

Not a hawk but.........

I have a couple of copper hawks that stay in the area , They do not seem to like the dead euro doves I leave for them, I have watched them take a few doves out of the air and that was pretty cool.

yea I saw some of Bob O's posts..during the cold they will accept those...tid bits..I shot a starling with the crown the other day by the time I put it down and head out to receive the fresh food I shot for my Harris hawk pair..a prairie falcon came in and took to the closest tel pole and ate in front of me..yea falconry is ton of fun 28 years worth..I am considered a dirt hawker..jacks cottontail, quail,pheasents...trying for a turkey..trying.

Thanks for posting the photos Tibor. I'm envious of you in three way..... great guns, very cool Hawking life style and finally near retirement. I am two out of three though so I ain't too far behind ya.
