Love it when they call...

I’ve been away from the rifle for a while. Was out with one of my other passions-motorcycling. Picked up a new Goldwing and have been breaking her in with the wife. But I got a call from a horse farm I did some pesting for last year and she says that the ground squirrels are back with a vengeance, will I help?
I had the Edgun r5m propped up in a cleaning stand in the garage and boy did it get dusty! That was easy then I ran a patch through when I remembered I cleaned the barrel which was why it was in the stand. Ok so what else? Oh yes, I’d been meaning to put in the new o ring for the breach seal that I bought. Oh drat! They’re too thick and don’t allow the action to work. Wait, I seem to remember a post where they made a plastic washer to aid the meager o ring to seal... ah found it. Had an expired credit card which will have to do. Start with the scissors and finish with the Dremmel. My cheek keeps activating that darn double feed lever- let’s get that outta there, never use it anyway. Done! Work the action through an empty magazine and function checks fine. Lastly I wondered if the magazines would load into the barrel easier with one o ring, let’s find out. Ok, done and done. Ready for Monday morning on the horse farm! Can not wait!

I envy some of the long distance shooting some of you guys get the opportunity to do, we do have pest ground squirrels here that are of the small variety which are the chipmunk and ground hogs, there's also gophers as well. I am glad that we don't have them big ground squirrels here though because it would be terrible for the farmers, ground hogs are bad enough.
