looking for a good scope recommendation HW44

I have a UTG 2-7 on my HW44. A bit larger/heavier than some others that are available (Simmons comes to mind) but I like it's long eye relief and it seems to be a good clear scope. I like it enough that I have another one in my work bench.

This may not be the japanese version but if you can get it for under $75 it would not disappoint you. Keep an eye on the used ones on Ebay, its your best bet to acquire quality without the $400 price tag of today's top tier pistol scopes.

Not sure what you are asking here. You will need appropriate rings to mount the scope. I use see through mounts on mine so I can use open sights as well. Picatinny type rings needed for the HW.

You may want to look into SCOUT SCOPES because many pistol scopes require a very long (and rather uncomfortable) reach in order to achieve proper eye relief unless you've got very long arms. Yo!

I had a nice little 4x32 Redfield pistol scope on the HW44 to start with but thought since it shot so well it deserved better. I have a Hawke rifle scope on it at the moment since I bench shoot it mostly. Have a Tac Vector Veyron 3x12x44 Compact FFP AO scope on the way though it should lighten things up a bit but a rifle-scope it still is. Cyclops gave the inexpensive Veyron an excellent review. I have not had much luck with my Hawke or UTG brand scopes the ocular eyepieces come loose on mine.

I went from red dot to 3-12 rifle scope then back to red dot for my hw44. If you get a scope, make sure it is a pistol scope.the hw 44 is very accurate but putting a rifle scope on it makes it heavy and awkward.just my opinion. Maybe the fixed weihrauch pistol scope? Maybe check out swfa.com ? 

Airgun scopes for springers need to be built differently because they are scope killers. PCP's are easy on scopes and even cheap scopes will not be harmed so you can put anything on them. My Hawke and UTG did not die on the HW44.
