I came here researching this same question for my son, who is in the market for an upgrade from his Gamo; very informative replies.
I don’t want him to be disappointed with another inconsistent, cheap rifle, so I’m thinking of trying to find a quality used one and pay the difference over his budget myself.
is the new Diana 34 EMS functionally the same as the RWS 34 you guys have mentioned?

I have had very numerous brands of springers, Diana 34 177, and Weihrauch HW95 22 are the only ones now. Both of them was at the $300 used. The 95 is my dedicated hunter. I lean more for it cause its all metal construction, but their both great pushers.
