I am in need of a pistol to get rid of pest birds. Can not shoot the .25 pcp no the .177 pcp for the noise. Dont want to spend over $100, if I dont have to.

I've been looking into one of those for Hands Only Pistol FT. How does it hold offhand? Is it very front heavy? How does the grip feel?

Thanks for the replies. I have to have a quiet piece. ALL of my neighbors are libs. Bought a Crossman 1377. At 5 pumps it is not attention grabbing loud. Also picked up a tin of wad cutters at B5. Hopefully this will do. If not, the BSA R10 .177 will be put into action.

Look for a used crosman 1701p. Add a (.067) tp and bump the velocity up to 670 with jsb 8.4 and brain dead accurate. No cold weather blues with co2 . 30 shots at this power level. Add a 1399 stock and you have a sweet little carbine with r-7 power .

1701P would certainly do it and without turning the power up but it will not fit the budget stated.

Ken, see what you've done gone and made me do?I canceled my order on a Gauntlet I ordered through Pyramyd, but the little brown truck visited CampFussell today with what I replaced that order with.
Only thing I have to scope it with right now is my Mamba Lite. Gonna really look wicked when I get the AR stock adapter with stock mounted and make a little Carbine out of it.

Bought one of the Airmax MKII in .177 a couple of weeks ago. Put a little red dot on it and have been having an absolute ball shooting in my heated shop at 10m. Great gun. Build quality and trigger are good. more then worth the price. My CO2 days are over. Going to give all my CO2 guns to the neighbor kids. Sylvan

In 177 I have two CO2 powered pistols, a Steyr LP-5 and a Rohm Twinmaster. Both fun to shoot at ca 10-15 yards.
in 22, I have a Benjamin Marauder and an Mrodair Airmax Mk2. I have a Leupold 2X ER scope of the Marauder and a. Doctrr Optic sight on the Airmax. Both are great 25 yard guns but need quieting in an urban environment.

Jimmy. I think you could put 5 shots in a dime at 15-20 yard with a red dot. The gun will do it. I certainly can't. With the gun rested accuracy is amazing for the price. I went to the red dot because I can see the target or the sights but not both with my eyes. Something about age. I would use a better red dot or reflex then the 29.00 special I am using. Plan on building a walnut target grip and detachable stock for this little gun. Seems like a worthy endeavor for the cold winter months. It really is a lot of bang for the dollars. Sylvan
