Looking for 30 cal

Have had my eye on the Fx Wildcat in 30 cal but can't get my mind off the RTI Priest. Both are under 7 #. Both are repeaters . Both around 65 fpe. Both very accurate . Seems the Priest is simpler to maintain. Also priced very comparatively in synthetic. Both can change calibers. Wildcat has longer barrel. Wildcat a bit more pleasing to the eye . Am I missing anything? What would be your choice?

I probably wont ever hold ether gun but I prefer wood stocks. Why? Because I like the character of wood over synthetic. I was in the Army for 10 years and everything was tactical and while cool looking it was bland my M4 looked like every other M4. I like the idea of a bullpup but have never shot one I am used to having a long rifle in my hands. Longer barrels mean you can shoot with better accuracy at longer ranges. Shorter barrels will weigh less but still be good at airgun range. Bullpup man if I had to clear a room Id want one as I want to be small and stable but to shoot long range I want a regular long rifle setup as I am comfortable with that 300m iron sights for kill shots. As lame as the priest looks I personally would feel at home shooting.

I agree with "lame" looking regarding the priest. lol And the Wildcat and Vulcan both catch my eye in walnut . Yes, I also prefer wood just trying to save a buck. New England airguns carry the priest. I own a CZ pb in 204 caliber so I know the quality of Chech Republic stuff. Precision air guns is a 2 hour drive. Think I will go and shoot the Fx and go from there. I have a 357 Slayer and now appreciate the bull pups.

Florida airguns carries RTI. have spoken a couple times. They have had to do some hammer replacements on the 30. Might want to make sure you have the " latest and greatest" Priest. I like the weight especisly tethered. I like the reg mounted on bottle like paint ball. However, i would probably go dreamline.

Thank you for the info.

Just bought 2 rti the priest .177 & .22

very easy to maintain and pretty accurate BUT the trouble comes in self firing and decocking mechanism! That needs lots of attention by producer where they are showing no attention to such a messy lethal issue !

any way I’ll have to find some way to fix there own poopty problems since it would be difficult to exchange or sell it back to buy other types in Egypt and is too expensive here

Im personally looking at a Vulcan 2 in .30. I have a .25 Vulcan (gen 3) and it is an impressive shooter. There are defiantly a few really good options out there and with new stuff coming out it might be worth the wait. Even though I am leaning towards the Vulcan 2 im still going to hold off and research a few of the new airguns that are on there way.

Don't think you can change calibers in the Wildcat
