Look what I got!!!

It's finally here! The Taipan Veteran has arrived!

This gun has been talked about for a LONG time on the TAG and can't remember how long it's been since they talked about designing a .25. I had a .22 Mutant Standard and loved the gun but really hoped for a .25. When I heard about these 6 months ago or so I decided I would sell my Mutant for it. Well I ended up selling it awhile back after heard that it would be soon but turns out it was a few months later. Anyways heard it was in the state's finally so sold my RAW to fund it. First impressions this Veteran is just like the Mutant. From the stock to the feel, the quality, the lightweight yet sturdy build. Just exactly what I was hoping for. Few upgrades from what I've heard. First of all the top rail is a 20 MOA picatinny rail which says it even on the gun. The mag area has been widened for fitment of longer pellets which is really nice. Also has anti double load feature. The regulator was improved and the transfer port is now 2 holes which is supposed to improve efficiency and power as well. The Standards are capable of 55fpe with JSB Heavies but come detuned in the 45fpe range from what the stats say.

So essentially everything about the Mutants that were great this has like the trigger, still phenomenal. The mag cycling is top notch. The side lever is just as smooth and easy as the .22 was. ALSO last and what I think is most important is this gun is quiet!!! I was pretty shocked at how quiet it was. Quieter than my .22 Regal XL. So with my Donny Du LDC coming it's going to be silent!

Now down to the numbers like I said they come detuned from there max potential power which I like and my plan was to tune in the 860fps range with the 25.39 Kings. Well as luck would have it mine came in right there! Not a full string as I didnt have the time.

Now accuracy this is what everyone was wondering as these .25s are LW barrels and not CZs like the .22s. I was really worried about testing accuracy as it was a 10-20mph wind that was coming at a 45* angle. Well here's 2 5 shot groups at 25yds. Let's just say it's as accurate as the .22s were! First 2 groups both sub MOA in wind.

Great short reviews,

mine coming this Saturday !

now sence I'm a Veteran, feels a gift after 20 years of service beside getting an Honorable discharge.

you know me, I will tune her to max potential, Show how to adjust the reg/tune/repair in great details videos and have a page on my site.

Yes the Tiapain has the best mag and trigger system period, who don't believe never had owned one.
