Must have been around 4pm I get home and while in the kitchen someone knocks on the door. When I open the door the FedEx driver is buckling up and off he goes. Lo & behold a cardboard tube is leaning against the door jamb , yes, I'm thinking barrel liner. Well, turns out someone at FedEx needs a liner more than I do. After cutting the tape off the ends, which I found strange as barrels, liners and such the tubes are capped with plastic on the ends. The ends also looked beat up and crunched. I even told my son that I thought it was empty because it felt too lightweight. From FX to FEDEX to me, I can't think of anyone else except in transit meathooks, aka FEDEX employee, responsible for this.
No X-liner  I'll call FX on Monday and see if they'll send another. On another note, I received last week the scope I purchased after considering JWR's favorable review of the Sun Optics Fixed 10 X 44 Tactical mil / mil. I must say that I am impressed by the sharpness and clarity of the glass. the etched reticle is clear and well defined and it is the same as the Mil- Quad design on the SWFA. I also like the style of the turret knobs which are large and low similar to the Aztec.
The parallax focuses down to 15 yards which is fine with me. The knobs are firm but turn positively and just like Joe mentioned, the audible clicks are low but they stop right on the mark.
I also decided to go with their set of 30mm fully adjustable rings and after you get the hang of the adjustment phase, once you tighten everything down they hold well and you still have the reticle centered in the scope tube. All in all I like the set-up and the quality of the scope seems pretty darn good. It comes with bikini style covers, sun shade  and the mandatory cleaning cloth ( I always use compressed air and lens-pen ). Got this on sale through DVOR for 175.00 and I did not want to spend a bunch on glass, so not bad I would say and it fits my needs. The wifey sez I have too many guns... :-o whhaaat? Hey Joe, I'm kinda getting used to the tapered ocular, gives it a ur-a-peeing sort of flair It turns smoothly but firm with no wobble or gritty feel to it. The exterior coatings look good as far as looking smooth and evenly deposited, did I mention it looks bright and the body is well machined. The threads on the objective trim ring are cut cleanly and thread on nice, you remove the ring to install the sun shade. Looking into the tube all looks well machined and blacked out to mitigate reflections, nothing funky looking or out of place.
Been busy and have not had time for shooting lately, but maybe in a couple weeks I'll try to post some chrono results and targets and let you all know how the scope is performing and how the Wildcat shoots. Two nights ago I was in the garage past midnight measuring, drilling and installing the sling stud out front. Got a UTG Recon 360 bipod on order, been reading positive reviews and it comes with a stud adapter with picatinny rail. I've got a GG&G XDS2-C QD on my Marauder bullpup and it is awesome, snapped it up in one of their 25% off sales. Trying to keep the budget in line, so I'll try the UTG & have had good positive performance from their other products. This forum is full of great folks and I have learned plenty on PCP fun from those of you that have been there before...thanks all.
