Long range pellets - which one do you prefer?

Hi everyone,

I've been shooting my cricket for the last week at 130 and 150 yards using JSB 25 grain pellets. While these pellets perform exceptionally well at 100 yards with groups in the 1 inch or sub 1 inch range, the moment I stretch it out to 130 the groups start becoming 2 to 2.5 inches and at 150 they go to 3 to 3.5 inches. I am shooting bench rest with sand bags.

I spoke to a friend who mentioned that the H&N pellets are more stable at 100 plus yards as compared to JSB. Since I got the cricket and saw its accuracy at 50 plus yards, I kinda hoarded more than 15 tins. :) :)

Have any of you done a comparison using JSB vs H&N pellets in 25 and have you found H&N pellets performing any better at long ranges on the cricket? If any of you have done a pellet showdown, Would love to hear of your experiences. Thanks in advance.

Although you will find every gun/barrel will respond differently with any given pellet, personally I have found the 27.8gr Benjamin Dome pellets out shoot both JSB and the Barracuda's/Kodiacs in CZ, L/W and BSA barrels I have tested at long range.. all the tightest groups Ive shot out past 150 meters have been with the Benji's with the flat based rear punch not the conical punch.

Wow. Never even considered the Benjamin dome pellets. This is helpful. Will pick up a tin of these and try them at the range. Thanks wingman
