Long range pellet for 177 Taipan Veteran?

Mine shoots around 1/2 to 1'' 5 shoot groups at 50 y with heavy jsb pellets. Most of the time they are around or just under 1".I consider this good but not great. But when i want to streach it to 100 yards the accuracy goes away.Around 3" groups.I will try 13 gr redesigned monster pellets in the future but i would like to hear what are you guys using. My rifle is standard model with Cz barrel. Anyone tried H&n barracuda match?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your reply Motorhead did you try them at 100y or maybe at least 80 or so.I don't undestand why. 177 won't be accurate at that distances i guess. 177 monsters have better bc then 18 gr. 22 jsb pellets and those are very accurate at 100y if you have good ones. In the past i watched you tube videos where people were shooting crows at 100+ yards with. 177

What’s the max speed you can get with just turning in your HS adjustment? The reason I ask is if you can get 920-930 and you are shooting at 870 for best accuracy, you might need to adjust your reg down so 900-910 is your max speed. Then reset the HS to 870-880fps and see how it groups then. Guys forget that your reg controls your speed, not the hammer spring. The hammer spring fine tunes it for best efficiency. Guys become hammer spring jockeys because they don’t want to tear their guns down to adjust the reg. Sometimes we get lucky.

Thanks for the reminder! 👍🏼

I DON'T like tearing into my guns but it can be necessary to get the best from it. I just get lazy and want to shoot, not tinker and test all the time.
