I was thinking we could create a map or a list for people that own compressors that would be willing to fill tanks and/or guns for people in there area that don't own a compressor, maybe include a fee for there time?

    What do y'all think?

No problem, well there it is one small problem. I would not be the one to start it because I don't own one.

Map/listing would make me happy because I am interested in tanked air but will not buy a tank until I find a place to fill it.

Purchase of a small tank of Nitrogen has also piqued my interest.

In the mean time the 2k Disco gets a lot more use than the 3k psi Hatsan with me having to fill with a hand pump, even though both are relatively easily refilled, even by a 70 year old!

RidinLou, this is exactly why it would be nice if we could get this going, hopefully we can get this post rolling !

A "simple" database based on zip code to get those in the general area or something more sophisticated??

Zip code ares are fairly small geographically as I remember

Could certainly be a useful list.   Also don't hesitate to check on local smaller fire departments.  My community department has a fantastic cascade fill system and fills my tank with no questions after an initial visit and tank inspection.  Might also help some.

I'm in New Braunfels,TX. I talked to our Fire Dept. and they were NOT receptive to filling tanks. I'm waiting for the Air Venturi to be available again. I'm 75 YO and tired of break barrels. I have a Diana 45. Very accurate to 50M.

Anyone in the San Diego area, I recommend San Diego Divers. They fill to 4500 psi, and a fill costs $5. Friendly business. They do their hydros in house, and cost is $30.

Surfer44, if you wanted to drive over to Lake Buchanan, I'd fill your tank.

I can’t ever seem to get them on the phone, but an email confirmed that the pro shop at cousins paintball southeast of Dallas will fill SCBA.

    https://cousinspaintball.com/play-paintball-in-dallas/

They also have locations in Manchester, NJ and Two New York locations, Staten Island and Riverhead/Longisland.  here is what they told me:

“Our Dallas location onsite proshop is open Wed – Fri 11am-6pm and Sat – Sun10am-5pm

Yes we fill tanks and can fill 4500psi and beyond. We do sell some SCBA accessories and many air rifle specific items.

    Hope this helps

Please feel free to call us during business hours at 214-720-0292 ext 1

My SCBA tank is in the way, so I will check them out and report back once it arrives.

Just to clarify, we are looking only for fill stations that will to pressures above 3000 psi?  Most dive shops will not.

Tried to get a fill at Cousins paintball today and no luck.  And the pro shop has not returned my call from a couple of weeks ago.  Maybe they closed for the winter?

Turned out the Cousins guys were out of town for a Halloween accesseroies convention in preparation for their annual October Zombie shoot.  I got a fill there a couple of days ago.  $20.

I gave up in Charlotte NC area, ZERO places that could fill to 4500PSI or would fill my tank at all so I had to ante up another $1400 for my own compressor
