Lightwieght short lenght of pull guns

Hey guys I'm just wondering if you could let me know what your favorite lightwieght airguns are. My only requirement for them is that they be able to dispatch rabbits squirrels and rats and under 600 bucks. I ask because my 6 year old little girl is learning to shoot and although I bought her a savage rascal 22lr we cant make it yo the range more than 4 times a month. Her hands are small and her length of pull is rediculously short. Here's what ive come up with on my own. Prod with colapsable ar15 stock, Talon p, disco or qb chief or stormrider with cut down stock. Im especially interested in cheep chinese options as i fully expect her to drop, gouge and generally destroy this gun. That being said anything under 600 will be considered. Thanks guys

The Savage Rascal .22 is an excellent choice. You did good.

The CMP Daisy 853 at $105 plus $14.95 shipping. Choose the regular stock for small hands. Mine shoots JSB 8.44 gr at 500 fps. They come with nice peep sights. The length of pull is short.

The Crosman Challenger is an extremely accurate PCP. Mine is set to shoot JSB 8.44 gr at 610 fps. Use the 25% discount code AGNATION and free Friday shipping from Crosman. $530 less 25% = $397.50 This is my favorite airgun of the many that I own because it is the most accurate. Walmart has good PCP hand pumps for $36.

The Daisy 880 at $35 from Walmart is good. They are easy to pump and very light weight.

The Chinese Co2 and PCP bolt-action guns like this MRodAir Plinkster can be had in the $100-200 range, are nice and handsome little guns, easy to fiddle with, and very light and handy. I think PA might sell both versions (Co2 and PCP) under the Diana brand name. Shorten the LOP with little cringe about butchering a more expensive rifle.

My last sentence reminds me of possibly an even better choice that is based on the Co2 version mentioned. LOTSA possibilities here-

This little thing comes as a rifle/pistol SET; including rifle and pistol-length barrels, a pistol grip, and carbine stock... as I recall, for less than $130!

I have a PRod with a bugbuster I'm $300 into it but already had a pump. You can get a hand pump for$100 or less. If you are considering a Disco take a look at the Fortitude. It's like the offspring of the PRod and Disco/Maxximus. The Benajmin Fortitude can be had for $300 then add a scope and pump. You could get everything for about $500.

Do you have any PCPs already?

If she is just popping cans in the back yard why not go with a Daisy red rider or the crosman cowboy?

Are you in the sticks or in town?

Im in town and I have to drive to a lake to shoot airguns without being bothered but they cant be loud. I already have a bb gun for her but the way its looking she will be skilled enough to start hunting with her dad soon. I shot 1000 birds with my bb gun as a kid but they didn't all die quickly and I think thats important.and i would never hunt anything with fur with a bb gun. I am thinking more about a qb79 co2 rifle and I can cut down the stock for her. As for pcps? well yes. I recently have been building my prepping supplies and I bought a Benjamin bulldog 357. An airforce condor with 24in barrels in 22 and 25. Airmax mk2 pistol in 177, my dad has a gamo urban and my new favorite even though it leaked and its completely torn down right now the marauder field and target. I have a couple multi pumps and springers too. I know thats alot but I use them to keep my shooting skills up and each has a purpose.

I will give another vote for the first response, the Air Arms T200. They come in a few different varieties for 10M precision in sporter class, 12-fpe field target or "full power" (which I think is a little over 20fpe in a .22). I don't have one of these but have seen and shot against several. They are well made, beautifully built and dead-on accurate. I'm at a point that I really don't need another airgun, but I wouldn't mind finding one of these!

It deserves a second look.

+1 for a great suggestion. Mine’s a tack driver.

The two that come to my head are the good ole QB series of guns....and really the step child the Umerex fusion. I think if I had to lose every air gun I have but one, I would keep the fusion. I really just enjoy that little rifle more then I should. With the plastic stock it is not as heavy as the wood QB's. And it is quite small. I know it will do a good job on mice, figure it will work on rats with good shot placement, but really would not want to use it for a rabbit sized critter....works on starlings as well.

Mine is also very accurate, more accurate then it should be at the price. I have a cheap BSA sweet 22 scope on it, and actually shoot flies at 25 yards with it no problem at all.

I really think it is a sweet little gun that flies under the radar. It is also very quiet, so if in town noise would not be an issue.

Custom builds can do the trick. 20-60 fpe .25 cal marauder, 31" oal, 4.9~ lbs as pictured, and adjustable 9-13" length of pull. I think adjustable length of pull + light weight rifles are the cats meow after going that route, once I add my 2 lb scope and 1 lb bipod / flash light its up to 8 lbs anyhow.
