Lightweight mil-dot or AMX scope

Midway has the Sightron SII 4-16×42 mil-dot on sale for $199 this Labor Day weekend, with free shipping. Very clear glass, AO, super light weight (16oz), nice reticle. Lifetime full replacement warranty. Can’t go wrong for $199, scope is every bit as good as my Hawke Sidewinder 6.5-20×42.

I owe ya one, buddy! I just cancelled my AOA order for the FX 3-12x44 IR mil-dot 1". The Sightron is just what the gunsmith ordered! It's cheaper than the FX w/ free shipping. It'll get to me quicker w/ Midway's NitroExpress shipping system. It has greater adjustable power. And it's a couple ounces lighter, which is my main concern. I'm sure the optics are better, too. Can't thank you enough. Good skinny :)

Anytime brother. One thing I really like, other than the light weight and compact size, is that at 16x the eye relief isn't nearly as critical as most scopes at their highest power. The AO isn't on the side, it's at the objective but still very easy to adjust for crystal clarity. I have one on my .22 Daystate Renegade, and ordered another to replace the Hawke Sidewinder 6.5-20x42 on my FX Bobcat MK2 .30 cal. Let me know how you like it on the .25 Wildcat?

My WC package is coming together. She's scheduled for delivery day after tomorrow. My pellets are coming tomorrow. (I'm gonna try the Hunter Extremes; my Pulsar .25 really liked them. The bunnies didn't care much for the crossed hollow points!) My scope is due three days later. (I even ordered three spare mags with rail mounts.) This will give me time to run a shot string and be ready for zeroing by the time my scope comes in. The Sightron is perfect for the WC .25. I have a Hawke Sidewinder 4-16x 50 IR on my RAW HM 1000x .357 (130 ft-lbf regulated). I'm all set now to legally hunt small game and varmints in Cali with my WC, and to hunt whitetail and pig legally in AZ w/ my RAW! Thanks again; you really saved me $ and grief ;-)

Another thing you said caught my attention. The 16x comes in handy for me; not so much for shooting, but for zooming in to get a closer look. (My binos are fixed 8x.) That is something I really would have missed with the FX scope. BTW, is the Sightron a FFP? I think I read somewhere that it was. If it is, I might just do more higher mag shooting.
