intenseaty22 I did some research before buying my lgv last year. I was intending to by the 177 version but after watching this video decided to buy the 22 cal. In this video the 177 was twangy and noisier then the 22 version. As I said before mine makes a dull thunk, very quite. The LGV s come in 16 and 23 joule versions, both 177 and 22. I have the 23 joule version.
Very happy with mine.
Thanks, will check video out in a while. I really favor .22, but it looks like none to be found. Except for the competition ultra model. Any thoughts on that one? It’s a bit more expensive too, but available in .22

Intenseaty22 if you have been reading my posts on this thread you wouldn’t have asked that question about the completion Ultra. Been drinking too much coffee researching this have we? Lol

I would love to tell you but I didn’t check it stock or I did and don’t recall. On the bright side, I can always put the stock internals back in. So I’ll swap it back this weekend and get you numbers. Only have 70 or so pellets fired with that spring so it will be pretty true to out of the box results. What I can tell you though is that out of the box, I just knew. Damn thing could shoot and man did it feel right doing it.

as a side note, mine is currently at an almost perfect 10.5 with JSB 10’s. The beauty of this is that for squirrels or other small mammals, I usually always find the round in the game, which means all energy is transferred and I know pretty accurately where that round will end up. I guess what I’m saying is that if you find something you shoot well , power at a plus or minus doesn’t really matter so much because shot placement is there. If you are confident going into it knowing you are going to hit what you’re aiming at, then you can focus on bonuses like keeping the round in the animal. Regardless of what the rifle was shooting at when I received it, out of the box I would have had no hesitation taking it out for a hunt right then. I think that is really what’s important.

@Ag5643 Thanks, but you don't have to go through all that trouble, don't sweat it. A rough idea is good enough. I was trying to do some math and was coming up with about 7.5fpe based on the numbers from the website. I'm a believer of shot placement vs power, was just debating if I wanted to get a .177 or not. I kinda wanted to stick to .22, just call me lazy and cheap, I already own a good variety of .22 tins, but only have a cheap tin of .177. Easy to work on right? I was looking around for disassembly vids, but could only find the LGU model, was not sure if they are the same internally other than the cocking arm.

The vortek pg2 kit for an hw77/97 fits the lgv, and lgu both respectively. You will have to do a painless modification though to get everything to work (takes less than 2 minutes). Rather than buying just a spring, I highly recommend going this route. While the gun shoots superbly out the box, I am glad I installed this as it just fits better if that makes sense. Pyramid air sells the kits.

I recieved a 12 ft lb LGV from Krale yesterday. I haven’t been able to do anything with her except unbox her. Below is some Airgun pic. I haven’t dressed her in a scope yet...

Sorry, Intenseaty22....but not really:) I tried to order it a week before, but my debit card blocked the transaction. Customs tore the box open but taped it back ok.

The most recent online Walther catalog still list the LGV Master Pro. Good luck.

I hope to get her dressed and tested soon. I plan on not doing anything to her except cleaning the barrel at first.

I know now that accuracy is 20% rifle and 80% shooter. But I’ll post my results.

FYI
The LGU may have issues with the cocking arm wearing out from what I’ve read.

Crutch my card did the same thing, but gave me instant feedback and was able to order right away. Not being sure that they are still making them, I ordered it figuring I was going to get the Vortek anyway. Figured I could make it a 12 just as easy.

I knew about the LGU, read enough reviews anf forum entries saying the same thing about the arm.

Looking forward to your review. Congrats.
