LGU at 50 yards

I had my shooting bench out today so I took the LGU and fired 10 rested shots from 50 yards at the 1" metal plate I have hanging in a tree. Shooting sitting and off a tripod I can consistently hit that target from 40 yards holding dead on and I don't commonly shoot the springers further than that. Off the bench and holding just at the top edge of the target I had 8 hits with 2 going just under the plate using AA 7.33 Falcon pellets directly from the tin. A little more holdover might have produced 10 for 10 at that range. The Walther spring rifles can shoot very well.

That's 4sure! My Walther LGV Competition Ultras ain't going nowhere! They are in a class of their own!

I made a big mistake selling my LGV. If I see one on the classifieds I'll probably purchase it.

Agree 100% with both above. I also have an LGV Competition Ultra (.177 as is the LGU) but for some reason the LGU is just a little easier to shoot for me. The LGV is basically just as accurate but for some odd reason it's a little harder for me to get comfortable with physically. I will be keeping both.

I was able to pick up an LGU and LGV this year. And very glad I did. Both are great shooters, and like Bandg I prefer the LGU slightly. Solid shooting by you Johnny on your videos.

Like you I also prefer the LGU.😉

I briefly owned one LGV Master Pro in .177, a 12fpe spec gun. While it was indeed accurate at the distances I shot it (up to 35 yards), I sensed the shot cycle to be less than ideal. At the time my focus was elsewhere, so the rifle was moved.

I still have multiple LGU's, and they aren't going anywhere anytime soon. While they do shoot nice out of the box, with some sensible powerplant modifications and a well thought out tune the improvement is dramatic.

Passed an LGU for sale on one of the gun forum classifieds. Thought he was a bit steep on his asking price at $650 shipped but don't know enough about them to say if that's actually a decent price or not.

It's more than they sold for when available (seems I recall about $525 when new) but since they are not readily available any longer then it becomes all relative to how badly a person wants one.
