Leupold VX Freedom EFR 3-9X33

AGN,

As I contemplate my purchase of my next rifle I am leaning towards a .177 bullpup. My specific desire is farmyard pest bird and rodent control. This rifle will be put together for barns, silos and small feeding operations. I am in Tn not exactly big farm or big livestock operations. Average shot distances will be between 15 and 60 yards. I rarely dial when pesting but do enjoy dialing when plinking / shooting for fun.

I am researching optics and would like to hear folks opinions on 3 optics I am considering. I own 2 of the 3 and they are killer scopes.

In consideration are:

Another EDgun / Dedal Stalker

Another SWFA fixed 10X

or a custom Leupold VX Freedom EFR 3-9X33

I am hoping someone can provide a direct comparison of the Leupold to either of the other two. All 3 fit the rifle. As of right now I am leaning to the Stalker. I am asking for comparison opinions of the Leupold vs the other 2 based on my familiarity and love for both the Stalker and the SWFA.

Thanks for any input.

Joe

I have a Leupold so I will point out something that is a fact of life on the Leupolds. The AO ring on the EFR rotates over 1 and a half revolutions. There is no stop to keep the AO from going past infinity when adjusting down to 10 yards. The AO ring will actually go from 20 yards to 10 yards to infinity, past infinity and back to 50 yards where it is actually less than ten yards. You also have to rotate the ring almost 360 degrees to go from 10 yards to infinity. This is normal and mentioned in the manual. I have one and love it but I thought this should be mentioned.
