Leupold Mark AR 4-12x40 on a springer.

My Leupold dealer called his distributor to ask the same question about springers. The answer was; All Leupold scopes are rated for springers.

Thats interesting isn't it. You know I've never understood exactly why a springer is such a death knoll for a scope. I mean guys are shooting heavy magnum center fires and yes I know the difference of how a springer recoils in two directions but still . Force is force. Just seems like it shouldn't be such a problem. Perhaps it's because guys shoot air guns A LOT. My guess is if you fired a couple hundred rounds thru your Win Mag you'd kill two things. Your shoulder and your scope. Leupold figures a percentage of them are coming back and they factor that into the costs. That's how I see it any ways.

I've used that Exact scope on Springer's and never a hiccup . That is in if the most under rated scopes on the market !!! Lightweight, great glass , and works flawlessly

Ok then. I have always preferred Leupolds and have used them for years. I've of course used and use other makes as well, but the Leopold scopes have always been among my favorite because of the quality. I'm just pretty new to the air rifle world and therefor have no experience to know whether or not they would be suitable and "hold up" to a springer's recoil. Thank you for the information.
