Crosman Let's show off our Crosman pistol builds!

Wow -

I guess great minds do think alike -

A 25 caliber repeater pistol - VERY COOL!

Post some numbers when you get her sorted out if you don't mind, that is one interesting air pistol -

I put the 25 cal top on the 22 lower, without any other changes or adjustments, and got nearly the same results. I'd like to get to 30FPE for one mag. I will have to open porting some more when I get back to that project.

Not much change going to 25 cal,:

S7: 676, 687, 702, 713, 709, 705, 689, 677 Ave: 695 FPE: 27.2 Es: 37 Es %: 5+

Exact same FPE, but a slightly lower Es.

Rather surprised it didn't increase, and the TP is not leaking. For now, will stay at the 0.160" porting, and put a scope on to test accuracy. I can't trust myself with the SeeAll for groups.

Added: Decided to try 34g JSB before making any adjustments

S8: 578, 593, 608, 615, 615, 611, 597, 584 Ave: 600 FPE: 27.1 Es: 37 Es%: 6%

Same power, slight increase in Es %. I was expecting a slight increase in power, and slight lowering of Es.

Started as a 2240 Crosman pistol, but now it's a 1740 and the longest gun in my arsenal. I put it together to burn up some of those $10 for 40pk of 12g carts I got a few years ago. Haven't found it's favorite pellets yet but the 10.34's are running at 660 for 10fpe. The disco end cap is threaded so that I can add some preload when the temp goes up.

2300S from the Custom Shop late last year. Maple grips, Crosman 2X pistol scope, replaced trigger spring for lighter pull, clipped one coil off the hammer spring for easy cocking stroke. ~60 shots per CO2 cartridge. One ragged hole at 10m (sitting, supported on a Caldwell bag) if I concentrate on the sear break with each shot.

That's a Cothran Machine 2250 PCP tube- have used that same tube in a different configuration -

Also have done the same pistol configuration before, although I set mine up to run on 2000 psi, and used a 22XX hammer spring & CCS 2400 tube -

It's fine for plinking, probably getting 16 or 15 decent shots at around 13 fpe -

Can get more power with a Disco hammer spring, but not that many shots,

that's it on the left -

I think so, would start out with the same hammer spring, but with a few less coils, check that out with a 1800 psi fill and start from there -

And possibly a stock transfer port, although I hate using them, hard to get them to "sit right"

EDIT: the more I think about it, 8 or so fpe is probably possible on my build just by backing off my power adjuster - it's set up with the power adjuster cranked all the way in, using a 22XX hammer spring -

I'll do the math, power adjuster adjustments, and get back to you here on AGN -

The P-rod is nothing special, larger transfer port (.103 ) averages 725 fps for 24 shots. Super quiet with the Sumo. Finally got a good cheek weld with the butt stock pad on a Crosman stock. That alone took a couple of hours of fiddling around with to get it to my liking.

The 2300s..what a P.O.S. from crosman. Barely broke into the 500 fps range. Loading pellets was a nightmare. Switched it over to .22 but it only shot at 355 fps. Way to slow for me. So I re-crowned the .177 barrel, recut and lapped the lead in, increased he volume in the valve and shimmed the stock hammer spring. Now shooting in the 560 fps range for 50 shots. Any and all pellets load easily. Tom West stock that was suppose to fit the 2300, modded it to fit, cut the shovel nose off it, stripped the camo paint, stained and oiled for the finish. Just finished the barrel shroud this morning. Now that I like it I'll order a super sear.
