2240 tube, 2240 grip, FX STX barrel, DIY carbon fiber shroud, CustomAir breech, System-X dropforward



.25 DAQ Breech,2250 tube, DIY rear sight, Corcoran Grips



RJ Machine breech, Bluefork Design gripframe, DIY adapter and arrow barrel.



Long barreled 2240

10" barrel, shimmed the hammer spring, grips, sear, home made shroud/muffler and a craigs list 10 dollar red dot. (Millet sp1)

I'm a tinkerer, and I must admit that I have gotten "bitten" by the 2240 bug pretty bad.

Here are some pictures of what I call my "regular shooter". This is the one I take out back and plink and plink and plink. I have no idea how many shots I am getting on a fill, but it is probably at least 150. It is regulated to about 2000psi (about 140bar) and I fill it to 3600psi (250bar). I'm pushing 15.89gr pellets to about 800fps with this one.

The one on the bottom is a 0.177cal that is regulated to about 1700psi (120bar) and I fill this one to about 4000psi (270bar). I'll get about 50 shots of 8.44gr pellets at about 860fps.

I like it. I have several 2240 builds, some in .177 some in .22, I finally decided all stainless parts, bolt handle, co2 cap, trigger ect on the .177 and similar parts in brass on the .22's. That way I can tell the caliber at a glance.

That is a pretty good idea. I thought that since my 0.177 and the 0.22 were so different in size/weight/configuration that I wouldn't have that problem, but it is still too easy to grab the wrong tin of pellets. Today, I have been adding flashlight mounts to both of the guns that I showed earlier today, so I have been going back and forth between the two calipers while making sure that the POI didn't change after adding all that hardware to the end of the barrel. Well, I had the 0.177 in my hands and out of habit, I reached for the tin of 0.22. I make it a habit to cover the pellet tins that I am not using to keep dust out, etc., but this time my habit saved me because I reached down to a closed tin. My heart skipped a beat for a second when I realized what I had almost done.

Even though we think our systems are "fool proof", we still have to be careful of our habits.

Would you mind giving us some details about your gun? I haven't seen that breech before (I don't think). Also, is that a gauge on the side of the drop-block, or is that just printed on? It looks like everything on that gun is after-market.

Thank you, sir. That breech I bought from eBay was made by a seller in Thailand. the tank block has a gauge for the output of air other side and I am running about 1600psi.

Yes, they are all after markets except pistol grip, barrel, main tube.

Fortunately, I was one of the lucky few and received the parts I ordered, and I bought Crosmad parts off the forums. They are high quality parts. There are similar parts on ebay for the breech. I purchased a tank block from this vender and it was of similar quality to the CROSMOD parts. He sells a multishot breech. i will be ordering from him.
