Hey everyone. The holidays are coming up and I’d like to make something different to bring to the company Thanksgiving lunch. Anyone have any squirrel recipes they’d be willing to share?

Cut up several squirrels, Brown them, put in electric pressure cooker with potatoes, carrots, celery and cream of celery or cream of mushroom soup and cook for 30 minutes. Delicious and tender.

My favorite is a pot pie. Use your favorite pot pie recipe and substitute squirrel for chicken. Even better mix squirrel and dove.

Never been fancy with squirrel or rabbit, I just brown them in a pan with a tad bit of oil then I dump a can of cream of mushroom soup over it and then let the meat and soup simmer for awhile.....

@cahil_2 beat me to it. I don’t have a recipe to share, all I have to say is BUY A PRESSURE COOKER. I’m never going back to a crock pot. The one I just bought is called “Instant Pot”.

Squirrel Tacos
Brown squirrel place in crock pot or pressure cooker with can of chicken broth cook until tender remove meat from bone add 1 small can of tomatoes with green chillies and a packet of McCormick taco seasoning, simmer till it thickens. Put together Tacos with your favorite toppings and dig in. I use 3 squirrel with this recipe.
