Let see them bulldog's!!

Thank you 😊 in very pleased with the build especially in performance but as many things in life (and air guns) what started of to be a wooden stocks mod, dictated everything else be addressed along the way lol glad though because the trigger tested a clean 3lbs even 33 times in a row before I just stopped testing. Really shocked me. I've since lightened it up but the thing breaks so neatly, I'm thankful to have done what I did. All on a 75yr old drill press and a $60 cross slide vise from Harbor freight lol won me some favor with 1 admirer who bought a full sized knee mill and gun smithing lathe for my shop 😁 ever since my life has been a classroom of millwork ( more of a struggle) but wouldn't have it any other way lol thanks again!

Here's my 2018 build that I recently up'd the power on. Now shooting Hornady frontier lead .38 special semi-wadcutter hollow point 158gr at 300ftlb

I love that stock and especially the departure from "same old same old" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good job man.

I took a chance when I bought the first box of Hornady's . When I got back home and pushed 1 through the Green Mt. barrel, it was like they were made for each other. Along the way from there, I had good and bad days with them but after this last mod session I have settled on the love them side. I had no problem from square 1 at 50yrds. The accuracy was better than any other projectile I had found but at 100yrds it was a struggle until a got them up to 900+fps. After that the groups at 100yrds weren't so challenging. After several 100 rounds and tweeking the gun almost to death, those 8-12" groups from the beginning turned into 3-4" groups and after blowing up and through a 25lb block of ballistic clay backed with 2 4" solid concrete blocks and finding my 158gr chunk of lead had been crushed flat enough to qualify it for the thick paper class , well, it works well enough for me to except the frontier lead as my go to bulldog bullet 😉 thanks for asking and allowing me to share my feelings. I must say I felt that the final product made Benjamin look better than they had boasted with the nozzlers.lol just sayin'

I feel like I can get at least another 30-50fpe out of the dog but I'm going to try and let it wait until after I have a chance to down a couple deer this coming season first. It does have 9deer, 2turkey, 3 coyotes and 1bobcat under it's belt so far. Also took a shot on a black bear in the neighborhood of 300-325lbs and made a solid hit. Just lost the blood trail and then realized I had loaded 81 gr pellets by mistake that afternoon. Not something I will let happen again, hopefully lol

Krett-

The more I look at your translation of the Bulldog the more I realize I am going to have to go in a similar direction. The primary reason is to make tuning/disassembly easier....

I have a couple of Bulldogs. My TJ barreled Bulldog that is pictured in this thread, Bulldog #2 as I call it, can switch from a downright surgical, 15 shot 155fpe regulated gun to a 3 shot 300fpe gun by simply changing tubes, hammers, and hammer springs. That process would be so much nicer if disassembly was a 1 or 2 screw affair vs. the clamshell clusterfluck...

I really like how you adapted the OEM trigger and safety I would love to be able to purchase that setup, if not the whole setup, at minimum the trigger/safety assembly....

Would I be wrong to assume Veradium is ahead of Pitbull right now in terms of power?

Saw YouTube videos of the Taurus getting consistent 300+fpe with basically any grain up to 10 shots.

I haven’t seen that from Pitbull mods.

I'm not sure who is ahead on the power curve, but I do know in talking with Brian at Veradium air that he SAFELY pushed those guns to the max. He knows his stuff for sure. I have my Bulldog with him now and looking forward to getting it back!
