Leshiy vs C-rat

I had a unexpected visitor the other night. I just so happen to look on the window and the this c-rat going for my mouse/rat bait area. I usually will grab the the Cricket 25 for the larger critters but, this time I grabbed the Leshiy. The more and more I shoot it, the more I like it! It's currently shooting 18's in the 760's. I carefully took aim as it turned broadside and sent the jsb to the sweet spot. On went the infamous roll and when I approached I was very surprised to see the amount of blood on the seen.

Here is a good old boy recipe
Possum Stew you can substitute rat,cat roadkill for possum

1 lean possum cut-up (lean is probably winter kill)
Flour
Cooking oil
1 cup chopped onions
1 clove garlic, minced
1 can (4 ounces) green chili peppers ( adjust for your taste)
1 teaspoon black pepper
8 ounces red wine (optional)
1 small can whole kernel corn
1 small can tomato sauce
1 can (15 ounces) kidney beans
1 can (15 ounces) canned tomatoes
1 can beef broth or two cups water
1 package taco seasoning mixDredge meat in flour to coat. Brown pieces in hot skillet in cooking oil. Add remaining ingredients. Stir and cover. Reduce heat and simmer 1 1/2 to 2 hours stirring occasionally. Can also make in a slow cooker. Serve with rice. Place a large bag of corn chips in center of table. Shredded Cheddar cheese and sour cream make this a real gourmet dish. Forget the avocado; folks who eat possum don't eat avocados.

"0akhonor"Recipe sounds good, but prepare ( steel) yourself when you go to clean that animal! I've cleaned some vile creatures, but a urine filled, greasy possum can turn your stomach right quick. Don't look too close, just get a cutting, and if you have cold, so much the better.
On the carcasses that are ripe I just skin them and filet the meet off the bone never go into the body cavity. I worked with some poor people where hunting and fishing was the only time they saw meat. They were always on the lookout for fresh road kill. After cutting up the carcas they soaked in cold water with a little Clorox to freshen up the meat. That was a long time ago when I was in a suburb os Charleston.SC. I hope tomcat doesn’t try my recipe we’ll have to see if the cat makes the next video, sorry Tom
