leshiy tuning question

happy new year friends.

i put huma in leshiy. set it at 127-130 bar.

i have long barrel in 25 cal and it shoots kings at 830 fps(250 meters per second). after pressure goes below reg, fps gets higher. i have not measured but when using mildot at 65 yards, below reg pressure it hits into center so i thing speed goes 15 or 20 meter per second higher.

i am sure i have to tune it but dont know where to start. do i have to lower reg pressure?

Yes, I would think you could lower the reg or increase the hammer spring tension to get rid of the spike when it falls of reg.

I guess it all depends on the fps you want.

Keep shooting until you see the spike go away after it falls off the reg. Check the pressure once the shot is back down to what you want... that’s the pressure you’ll want to change the reg too

is 100 bar good for this speed and caliber?

Depends what speed you want to shoot. My .22 Leshiy is set at 110 bar and I can get great speed with my long and short barrels. If I had a long barrel .25, I would set my reg at 120 and see what it will do. I avoid tunes with the velocity spike at the end. Edgun West has a tuning guide for the Leshiy. Look it up and follow it. 100 bar would be good if you plan on shooting the gun in your living room.

just set it at 115 bar. no more spike in the end. and shoots flat till 100 bar.
