Leshiy Scope?

I'm looking for a new scope for my leshiy. I really like the look of the BugBuster but I'm not sure about the build quality? Turret tracking etc...

Currently I have a SWFA 12x scope on it. But I'm not happy with the eye relief that the SWFA has.

Criteria would be:

Compact stout scope.

At least a 3x9

Fine reticle

Reliable turret tracking

Paralax 10 yrds to infinity

Decent eye relief approx 4" So it won't protrude past the end of the gun when it is folded.

Any recommendations?

Or am I looking for a "White Whale"?

Any in put is greatly appreciated!

I put a Leupold VX Freedom 3-9x33 EFR on my Leshiy and am able to get good eye relief with the scope just past the point where the gun folds. It is the perfect size for the Leshiy and the glass is great. Buuut, it has a duplex reticle (basically a small cross-hair) and the turrets are not made for clicking really. They do work well though I was able to zero my gun in a few shots. Overall I am impressed with it and Leupold is known for their quality optics and great warranty.

If this scope had a mil-dot reticle it would be absolutely perfect IMO. I would like to get one from the Leupold custom shop with a mil-dot reticle and a target turret for the elevation.

I bought a discovery for my taipan and like it. I just realized it has pellet holders (6 each turret) that holds .22 really good and thought this would be great for the leishy. The model is vt-3 FFP3-12x 44SF for $200. Only downsides are eye relief 3.3-3.5” and its 44mm so maybe too big for the leishy? I like this scope and wanted something smaller, lighter than everything else I looked at. (10”,18oz). Shipped fast too. Love the recitle.

HI I only use FFP Mil/Mil scopes and I needed a compact scope for leshiy and I like good glass so my choices became limited

as most ar type scopes are ballistic reticles or ACSS or others and the parallax isnt clear at close ranges so I tried alot and I got my self 2 scopes I love and work well for me

SWFA 1x6 HD mil/mil

Burris XTR11 1.5x8 34mm mil/mil

both great for me but both have a few weak points as well

Id like the SWFA more if it had the mil-quad reticle

Id like the burris more if it did not bleed when you illuminate it ,

burris pros is field of view and great glass ,swfa pro is hd glass turrets 100% is sharp and even no bleeding

price wise the swfa lists for $999 nd the burris xtr11 lists for $1199 you can find better prices anywhere , I do want to try the dedal when It comes in I have a few other platforms for rthat one as well

Holly Crap! I'm not that rich! LOL!
My next big purchase I'm saving my pennies for is the Omega Turbo charger, and a 100 cu/ft Omega tank.

I'd like to keep the price of a scope reasonable.
The SWFA is a good scope I like the fact that they are almost indestructible!
But the limited eye relief is a huge annoyance for me. But everything else about SWFA is great.

Once you have a nice reticle like the SWFA it's hard to go back to a thick lined reticle like on the bug buster.

Im using a small UTG Acushot. I even added a small sidewheel. It works out well for me. I think utg makes a good scope for the money and would say its comparable to some more expensive brands. Dont mind the feet in the pic.

Yeah, that is a good amount for a scope. For some reason I cannot bring myself to drop that much on optics. $600ish-$700 would be my absolute max. Even then though. Sometimes it can be hard to find exactly what you are looking for in a given price range.

As for saving for a compressor. I would do the same but im lucky enough to have AoA just down the road from me so I can take my 100cf tank to get filled.

I would be careful of the source. Aliexpress. Known for counterfeit products and/or just plain Chinese junk. I would not buy optics from them but thats just me. Go through midway or something if you cannot find what you are looking for at a repeatable airgun dealer. Or even a local sporting goods chain. Bass pro or someplace similar.
