Leshiy questions!

So I got the leshiy in .25cal coming with the 250mm barrel and huma regulator installed. Bought the huma pellet holder ordered and bug buster scope to use.. so asking the seasoned leshiy owners what's some much needed items for this gun.. or things to avoid or try.. looked into the donnyfl Edgun Leshiy Extended Baffle V2 also but haven't read to much about it yet!!

Thank you

Fellow owner here. Definitely get additional barrels! It’s a one gun to rule them all kind of deal. I’m a casual shooter and will take the occasional squirrel, rat, bird, etc. if you understand that you will not be reaching out over 100 yards and won’t be getting an insane shot count this little bugger is a hoot! It’s plenty accurate out to 75 yards. That being said...it’s a budding tinkerer’s dream due to its simplicity.

im currently looking into getting the air tube extension so I can get more shots with my .30 barrel.

I bought a STO ( Silent Thunder Ordinance) baffle insert. It is very quiet: recommended. Be aware that if you ever use the .30 barrel or the 9mm barrel you need a baffle with a larger opening. I got .30 insert from Brian at Edguns West, I do not know if it will work for the 9mm. The Dedal Stalker scope is great on the Leshiy, but pricey and only 6x so if you don’t have relatively good eyesight or want to shoot long distances it may not work for you. Other good smaller scopes are the Tac Veyron, and Discovery VT 3.

I would recommend you try the stock trigger, but if you feel the need, you can always do the 2 stage trigger mod. I can tell you with the stock trigger, you will always be surprised (a good thing) when the gun fires. Just concentrate on the target;

The greatest joys of the Leshiy are its simple reliability and ease of caliber change. I have all 8 Leshiy barrels. When I got it about 9 months ago, it was a .25. Then I went to.30 then .22, and am now shooting it as a .177. When you switch barrels and get the gun dialed in too your liking, record the barrel length, pellet used and # of clicks on the hammer spring adjuster opened from the closed position and it’s very easy to go back to a previous configuration. Soon I think you will know why so many love the Leshiy.

I have a Donny fl baffle I am not using if one of you fellows want to try it out lol. ( i am embarrassed at the seemingly shameless plug😊😅 . I received it in a trade and have no use for it. The little Leshiy has been a total blast for me so far. I think everyone should have one haha.

I think Ed would agree with that statement lol 😂.

1) The Steve brown grip is really nice when they come around.

2) I second the extra barrels as it is just easy peasy to swap them in and out to burn up extra ammo that did not win the magic pill challenge in your other pcps lol.

I read that the Edgun Leshiy Extended Baffle V2 well tighten up groups with foam added but that was just from what I read on donnfly reviews from customers

I have the DonnyFl V2 extended baffle, the STO insert & the stock moderator.

I have not noticed a difference in groups between the STO & DonnyFl. I have barely shot through the stock moderator.

The STO is the lightest & quieter but I do like having the DonnyFl extended baffle for when I want to rubber band my FX Radar to the end & still be able to fold the Leshiy completely. That's a quick switch & I'm glad to have the DonnyFl for that reason alone.

Mine also came with the Stephen Brown laminated grip. I think it looks fantastic on the gun & feels comfortable at first but my hand does cramp up after a while. I had a friend 3d print an AR style grip for it & that seems a bit small for me but a good compromise when shooting with my boys.

I think I've heard there are two versions of the SB grip that fit a bit differently. I might try to modify mine slightly.

There is an over seas company that makes a small extension for the stock grip that looks interesting.

My Rugged Ridge bipod (also came with the gun) works on the Leshiy when mouned as far back as possible & the folding/safety function still works. But I didn't care for it that far back & now have it well forward on a Lion Gear picatinny extension & a small UTG riser.

If you prefer a bipod that mounts on the stock picatinny rail without adapters then research carefully. Especially how & where the legs fold up for storage.

I have tried a 3-12 Bugbuster on my Leshiy & it just wasn't for me.

Also have a Dedal. I could probably use a bit more eye relief & magnification but my only real complaint about it is that it sits just a fraction high for me. But I love the field of view & being able to scan the trees with both eyes open. The top parallax is very convenient.

I do wish the stock had a bit more drop at the shoulder. That can be accomplished with the Drozd air tube extension or with the extension piece from Carm. I haven't tried either as the shoulder fit is not a major concern.

I would suggest several barrels and lots of pellets. I tried out all 3 calibers and different power settings. I preferred the lower settings 12-20ftlbs. At the lower levels, there was absolutely ZERO reason to buy additional baffles.

The only thing that I think could have improved it for me was the low power HUMA regulator to give me many more shots.

Side note. I tried the Bug Buster as well, but am not a fan at all. I would upgrade that, but to each their own.

One of the top couple rifles I have owned, and may end getting another one someday once I realized how bad I screwed up selling mine.

Only reason I haven't gotten a dedal scope is because I have edgun leyla 2.0 and 2 uragan compact I know I'd be wanting to switch them out constantly lol. I do have the smallest version of discovery scope on edgun lelya and that's fun! I'd like to see all these custom spin off builds you guys have!!! Because we all know sometimes looking like a total beast of a rig is what we desire and other times just pure function is best.. I cant decide which side I'm on! My guns I stated in text above are super accurate and short so to be transparent this gun needs to be for my needs 1st completely backpack friendly! 2nd has to be quite enough to shoot all these different rodents while deer/hog/bear hunting in mountains of Arkansas. Weight needs to remain light for hiking the mountain to my hunting spot! 3rd needs to be efficient 65 yards and in. The amount of squrriel and chipmunks we have at are farm is ridiculous! We are allowed to bait so critters of all kind can be seen. 4th has to be quite enough to take out all these dang starlings and squirrels we have in the city limits both at our home in tn and grandparent's house in Arkansas. So with this long post let me say the edgun leyla and uragan compact are wonderful guns there not nearly small and light enough at times of sure convenience so I'm dabbling in leshiy world.. or addiction as some might say!! Hopefully this gives a picture of my needs.

I would up the barrel to 350mm, go with a small and light fixed power scope, and if you are sticking with .25 - invest in a bunch of the Hades. The 22 cal Hades are too small for the 22 cal barrels.

For the hand grip - if you have larger hands, you can customize the fit and feel with McNett Camo wrap. Definitely get a some spring plungers in different lengths too for the recommended 2nd stage trigger mod.

For moderators, get the Akula and/or Donny's moderator with dense foam inserts.

My Leshiy has been tuned for 815fps with 18gr JSB’s for a couple years. It is not loud. I regularly shoot squirrels in archery season from my stand. Maybe in the larger calibers it gets louder. Or maybe guys just like buying stuff to put on their guns. The Bushnell AR 3-12 scope is a perfect scope for the gun. The gun is jumpy unless you tune it down to around 700fps. The guys with the 12lb .177 are probably enjoying the sweetest side of a Leshiy. I have a Steve Brown grip. I like it’s size but it’s edges are too sharp. I need to round off the finger grooves and refinish it.
