Leshiy - AK47 Grip

OK guys and gals...which aftermarket AK grips work with the Leshiy?

I can get 3 fingers and on the stock grip..maybe a tiny bit of the pinky..but not really comfortable.

I ordered a FAB industry grip and it's not even close to being a drop-on replacement. The bolt supplied with the FAB grip was a different diameter and length..totally different size. At least 2 areas of the FAB grip would require "dremel tool" work just to see if it would be a fit.

So do all AK grips require some modification? Looking at the FAB vs the stock Edgun grip, the most obvious is a cutout on the grip left side to accomodate the Leshiy cocking hinge. The other area needing a mod would be to put a slot in the top front of the grip. Argh!

Anyone have a suggestion? I know there are custom wood grips available, but don't have any interest spending an additional $100-$200.

Get out the Dremel? Visit McMaster-Car to find the correct length bolt? Maybe use the stock М5х35 and mod the FAB as required?

Carm makes a grip extension and brown makes two grips fyi

Will have to give that a look.

Yeah you can get 3d printed AR style grips for the Leshiy but there not AK grips either

Thx. I might just break out the Sherline mill I have and make an adapter. Probably be easier than hacking on the FAB I just bought.

Well...I needed a diversion. LOL.

If that's a CNC mill you may be able to feed it the .stl file I made in OpenScad and 3D printed for my Leshiy - or get it printed it if you know anyone nearby with a printer, made the extension deep holed so takes the original screw
