Leshiy advice

Hi Chris, if you made any modification to the trigger system you could have that problem, maybe you change the trigger stop with a plunger screw to create a second stage trigger?, if thats the case you could try fix it by adding a small spring under the trigger guard and that should fix the problem, or at least it fix mine when i was dealing with the same problem, there are videos on youtube on how to do this.

Hope it helps

If you want cocking without engaging the safety, you may install a spring between the sear and trigger guard. It also is needed if you want to do 2nd stage trigger mod ...

Awesome. I decock by folding it just a little and pulling the trigger. The hammer obviously drops and I was getting worried this might have been damaging somehow. Maybe I should hold it and ease it down. You guys are awesome. Glad I came here.
on a side note... I will be compiling my own thoughts/experiences on the leshiy for a review soon. I wanted to hit the 1200 pellets mark first. I consider that a fair assesment. Im at about 900 now. I have some pictures for the review but they are hunting pictures so I don' know they can be posted with the review.

My Leshiy gen 2 had always cocked at about the 170 degree point (tube about 1/2" from the safety.)

I don't think I'd make it a habit of decocking the way you described, the cocking pin on the hammer and the cocking roller on his hinge have to take that impact. Ed makes durable guns but over time you may bend or damage the cocking pin or roller decocking it that way.

I decock my leshiy by putting my thumb on the cocking pin and pushing forward, pulling the trigger, and then easing the hammer back.

Then that's how I will do it also. If it werent for edgun west and his vids I would be completely clueless rather than mildly clueless. Let' just say the manual is not all that helpful. A big thanks to you guys also. I'm gonna search around and see if I can find a walk through for parts sizes and installation of trigger mod. It is my single biggest issue right now. I work on powder burners regularly but haven't gotten my feet too wet on air guns
