Leshiy

Here's a great starting point, courtesy of Brian @ EdGun West (as posted on another forum):

For reference here's what shoot the best with a 250 barrel and Huma
.177 (10.34) = 100 bar (830 fps)
.22 (16) 110 bar ( 815 fps)
.22 (18s) = 120 bar (790 fps)
25s = 130 bar (760 fps)

I personally have been running mine with 16gr AA/JSB @ 85 Bar & 745fps for 33 shots at 250bar. I'm fine at 50 yds at ~20fpe, but you might want to crank the reg up a little closer to the above recommendations if you feel you need more power.

Hi I have a 22 leshiy I shoot 18 grain JSB or EDGUN pellets threw it .

I have mine set like this 350mm barrel , 91 bar reg pressure 826fps 27fpe

I can hit regularly past 100 yards with it . and other thing is it is durable , I got over 20k threw it and not even an oring failed yet , here is a 50 yard group with jsb 18 in mine and it is typical size group . here is some pics of hunts I had with it last yr . also . I have tried like poly mags they shot well as well

I hope you didn't throw away the legs!

@sonny, start small and work your way up. My Leshiy has been temperamental in .22 for consistency; .25 is fine. I'm starting to think my barrel is problematic. My Leshiy just likes to run hot with 870fps using 25.4gr JSBs.

mtnGhost, Seems like the JSBs like speed in my FX guns too. I have only shot the 16gr so far and its new to me so im hoping the trigger mod helps me some and i have some 18grs on the way. BH, Cool keep us updated on the longer barrel thanks.

Yeah, I would use the lighter weight rated plungers for a second stage. I had a heavier one for a bit, and it wasn't fun to shoot.

I recently had some issues with my Leshiy so after getting it all back together, I had to tune it again. Here it is in .22 with short barrel.

15.89JSB 100b reg 15 clicks hammer spring 855fps

18.1JSB 100b reg 15 clicks hammer spring 805fps

What I have found with the Leshiy is the somewhere around the 800fps mark, the gun starts getting nutty. My gun in the 650-700fps area is for the lack of a better term, a sweetheart. No recoil, so quiet but the problem is, I have 2 other .22 guns that are already tuned in that range. So I push the Leshiy into the 800’s and it’s more than capable, but it starts to show its teeth.

The other thing that I realized last weekend was how sensitive it is with unsorted pellets. I did extensive testing with my .25 350mm barrel at 50, 92, 130, and 174 yards. The variable weighted pellets were very unpredictable in comparison.

I also had the best results with a firmer grip with the sorted / washed tin than I did holding loosely (shooting from a table with an Atlas PSR attached). YMMV!

Definitely want to be sorting pellets if you are shooting that slow past 75yrds with a .25cal. Sometimes we all forget just how slow an airgun really is and the horrible ballistic coefficient of our projectiles. We are only the next step up from a slingshot compared to a .25cal powder burner that sends a 100gr .25 at 3,000fps with ease.
