Edgun Leshiy 2 Tips when you receive it. (From a friend)

From a friend:
Tips when you receive your L2: I was so in a hurry I learned a few things when you first open up the box. When you rush things you lose focus....
1. Don't rush...Read the manual,
Put the magazine in before you dry fire or you will lose your pucking Puck.

2. Assemble your fill probe with the included derlin washer.
Make sure the white derlin washer is inside or it will not seal when you fill.

3. Don't freak out when you feel air bleed into your hands from the back of the hand guard/stock moderator. I've confirmed this is normal when firing.

4. Depending on your scope mount, positioning it too far back can block the releasing mechanism for the folding stock if your rings or scope mount are not the flush type. I have a Nightforce one piece and compact scope that I pulled off my other rifle and I have to position it more forward.

5. List of Pellets that fall through the magazine:

-JSB Hades in 22 cal. Heads up that these are too small and fall through the magazine in 22 cal not sure about 25.

-Some slugs also fall through. TBD: NSA (Nielsen Specialty Ammo) and Brian at Edgunwest are in Collaborative discussions to specially design ammo that will work with the L2 which is exciting! Whether this is for 25 cal and up is yet TBD. (assuming this is because alfa barrels are unchoked 25/30 caliber barrels)

6. LDC and moderators- The L2 barrels come threaded with M14x1.25. Getting an endcap for vulcan/Uragan or slip on adapter will work. Look for a 14mm slide on barrel adapter that will work.

7. When using the Carbon Fiber handguard or even the valkyrie kits please note that the gun may not lock all the way into its secure folded position. Updated locking pins should be coming soon to help accommodate and I will update this post as soon as they are sent out.

I hope this helps someone!

I'll add to the list as I discover more helpful tips! Please do the same! You never know who may need it.

Now I'm gonna go and shoot this beauty! See ya!

Seems like rookie moves and common sense but just good to know going in when you've waited for a while and it's finally here.

These aren't in the instruction manual. 😉 (well the magazine being in when you shoot is.. But now we know why 😊

The Leshiy 2 is a work of art!

Balances on my shoulder similarly to my Taipan compacts. It's solid and easy to shoulder for off hand shooting. Love the fit and finish and feel.

Trigger is very good. Though not adjustable. Doesn't really need it in my opinion so far. The double sided safety is pretty awesome.

This was certainly worth the wait and Brian at EdgunWest has been a Rockstar! Thank you!!

More to come!

Those are some great tips. I have a LaRue one piece mount like yours and hopefully it fits. I hope the fill probe is the same as the R5M and Leshiy Classic. I also need to get a backpack for the L2 and a Guppy tank.

Fill probe is the same as R5M and Leshiy. Using my old one with no issues.

Thanks. Good to hear. I wouldn't see another reason not to use the same fill probe but you never know.

Thanks for the tips . I’m surprised there have only been two posts from new owners as the first guns were shipped last week. I’m in PA and mine is to be here Monday. I am anxious to hear more owners comments and performance results on different set ups with regulator settings and all the different barrel lengths and Valkyrie moderators without sub-titles an not in the metric system. Sorry Ed. I assume Brian will keep posting his short videos as he has time which are a big help and is A step above in dealer service on a new product release. Enjoy your gun.

Sling mount tips:

Our L2s come with a QD access point. I think it is more for a 2 point sling setup but could also serve for a single point. It is possible to set up 2 point sli g by getting a mlok sling attachment or Picatinny QD sling mount for the front.

 not my L2

My single point sling setup:

I got this location to work without drilling or tapping the front of the stock.

Hope this helps someone who is considering using a sling.

Magazine tip: get a magnet to mount somewhere to remove the magazine cover. It would be neat to be able to mount the magnet as shared by another member in back of the pressure Guage. It would also be neat to find a way to hide an Allen wrench in the grip somehow.

I have been growing out a couple finger nails and increased my calcium intake for stronger nails. 😉

5. Tip: JSB Hades 22 cal.

Here's a Heads up that these fall through in 22 cal not sure about 25. But in using the 22 cal hades, perhaps load them with your hand underneath the exit sides of the magazine and attach or load the magazine on to the gun facing upwards. I'm not sure if these will affect cycling. I would assume yes if the barrel ever faced downwards. I'm not going to test that with my L2. 😉
