Leopold 3x9 efr Freedom reticle question

I am looking for a lightweight scope for my Skyhawk. The Leopold Freedom weighs 9 oz and I find that attractive. I have a Hawk 4x16 FFP Sidewinder now on it that is heavy and does not make sense on a 6 lb pup that the light weight is why I bought it.

My question is that on eBay I see two reticle listed for the Freedom efr: a fine duplex and a airgun reticle.

Are these two reticles the same and the ebay vendors just calling the reticles different names?

My deteriorating vision needs a heavier reticle that I can see, if these two reticle are different, which is thicker?

Any other light weight quality choices out there with the only complaints being about thick reticles?

Whether it's for training or just for fun there's something about shooting rimfire or air rifle that puts a smile on your face, and our VX-Freedom 3-9x33mm EFR is purpuse built to get the most out of either one. With an external focus ring that allows you to focus down incredibly close and a compact size this scope is the ideal small-caliber optic.

They may be talking about airgun rated, never saw anything about reticle. At any rate I have one mounted on my FWB 300S the Fine Duplex Reticle is not supper fine I couldn't be happier with the scope. I'm 65 eyes not so good and I'm very picky when it comes to scopes, Leupold nailed it with this one great glass. I've had many hawk scopes sold them all they don't come close to Leupold IMHO.

I bought a Burris 4.5x14 yesterday off of eBay, hopefully it focus down to 10 yards. It has a mildot reticle, retails for 310.00, I got it for 159.00 as it is a blemish from body finish flaws, not on the glass.

If I have problems with it, not focusing to 1yards, reticle too fine, I will return it.

planning on selling my Hawke FFP 4x16 Sidewinder as I really have a tough time seeing that reticle.

I called the Leupold Custom Shop this morning to inquire about the feasibility and cost of putting the German #4 or the heavy duplex in a Leupold Freedom 3x9 EFR.

I was informed that if I purchased the scope through Leupold they could retro fit either of those two retinal cheaper in the Freedom 3x9 EFR.

I then inquired what they charged for the scope and the service, it was $299.00 for the scope and $100.00 for the reticle. I have been tracking those scopes on EBay and else where and that is exactly the lowest price I have found for the Freedom EFR.

I was also informed it was a two month or less turn around time.

That would put it on my birthday, funny how that turned out.
