Left hand walnut/thumb-hole or LRT stock for RAW?

I have a RAW HM1000x with a right=hand walnut stock. I shoot left-handed and I'm trying to decide if I should order a left hand stock like the one on the gun or the LRT stock which is ambidextrous. I know a left hand stock would be harder to sell if I decide to move the gun later, but I don't see that happening, plus I have the right hand stock too, so that would make it a mute point. What are your opinions?

Not a real good picture but it's the only one on my phonee.

I never thought I'd ever sell any air gun I've owned, and then a new beauty comes along and 'ole Bessy finds herself in the AGN classifieds! Because of this eventuality, I've learned to keep my guns as stock as possible, with any modifications not physically altering the gun. This includes no unique features. I'd say get the ambidextrous, since lefty is a hard sell.

Having said this, I did just order a RAW HMx .357 (130 fpe regulated) with a RH thumbhole and adjustable cheek piece in Forest laminate. Perhaps I should have ordered walnut in anticipation of selling her, but the Forest laminate is just so darn fetching!

I have a completely different mindset. If something new comes along and I just have to have it I will not sell a gun I like to get it. I will save up and add it to the collection. And when I do get a new gun I still enjoy shooting some of my older guns. Normally, the only time I trade or sell a gun is if I have another gun that performs similarly or if I have a duplicate. I did sell all my 35 and 45 cals because I decided not to hunt anything big enough to require a gun of that power. I'm mainly a plinker so shot count is more important than power to me.

I am right handed all my life, eye sight made me a lefty a few years back.
I personally love the LRT stock, a flawless palm swell and or ??? , the darn thing just fits & balances excellent.

Normally I would say stay away from a lefty - resale- but as you have the right hand stock already, if you ever sell you've got that covered.
Then again, you pretty well keep things, darn, so perhaps a dedicated lefty if you don't have one already.
Are you a large person? Perhaps the thumbhole/thumbup stock is best.

How far to the closest match or stocking dealer? Hold each.

Just to help you in an airgun friend sort of way, Martin can copy a stock you own, tee hee.

I believe the LRT is slightly lighter also.

John I'm the same, a right handed person but cross eye dominant. I tried a lot of different techniques to shoot right handed but eventually just switched to left hand a couple of years ago. I'm pretty large so gun weight is not a big deal to me. Hell, I have a Hatsan Hercules (13 lbs w/o scope) so I love the walnut thumb-hole stock. The cheek piece is not a problem shooting the gun left handed, but the hand grip and grooves for thumb and fingers make shooting the rt hand stock iffy.

If you're shooting from the bench very much, the LRT stock will be a bit better. The curve one the butt thumb hole stock can tend to work against total stability off the bench. The look of the thumb hole stock IMO is just gorgeous. Got one for my TM1000 .177 in blue laminate. In the future (hopefully near) I'm going to get a HM1000x in .25 and will get the LRT stock for the reasons I mentioned above.
