Lead BB's shot from a springer to scare Canadian Geese

I just ordered a tin of H&N Rundkugel rould pellets to shoot out of my HW30S. My hope is that I will be albe to put 2-3 of these in the barrel at one time so that they shoot slower than the 630 fps my HW30s shoots JSB 8.4 pellets at. I just want to whack the geese, not poke holes in them. Anybody have experence shooting the Rundkugel pellet? I plan to test the pellets by shooting at cardboard put out at 20 yards, the same distance I would be shooting the geese at. With JSB 8.4's, the gun shoots holes in soup cans at at 20 yards.

Lead shot and waterfowl do not mix. You may run into problems with your local Game Warden and or the US fish and wildlife service. I don't suggest you do it.

Yeah guys, I know about lead and waterfowl. I really was hoping to get the fps down so low that it would just sting. I have a wrist rocket too that I use, but I broke my arm a few months ago and can't use it. We have a family piece of property on a lake and the geese just love to cover the yard with poop. Drives me crazy!

get a pump pistol like crossman 1377 and you can pump it how you like great pistol for the money

LDM dont put more than one lead roundball in a spring gun. These round ball fit very tight in the barrel. If you put 2 or 3 in im afraid you may blow a seal in your gun or damage something else. I have some and they are pretty useless for accuracy also. Save your money and try another way.

Sonny - we had a 1377 looking corpsman from the 60's. Wish I still had it. For $60 I think I'm going to get one.

Round shot works very well especially at night since they load only one way.... however ... your HW30S is a springer and firing round balls out of a springer is a no-no .... try cleaning wads/pellets ....

Thanks man. I ended up canceling the order for the round shot, and now my arm is healed so I can go back to the wrist rocket to scare the geese. They have nothing to worry about though, I can't hit a thing with the wrist rocket

I just fugured out that it was this post that earned me a Minus Accuracy mark and I'm a little bummed about that. I was in the wrong for considering using a HW30s to scare geese off my lawn, but as I said, I was trying to find a way to keep the volicity down to the point that it would just sting the birds. I also later said that I had given up on the idea after receiving a bunch of great feedback from y'all. I'm not a big poster, but I try to add valuable content when I do post, have done a few well liked reviews, had some great thread conversations with AGN folks, but the only Accuracy mark I have recieved was a Minus, and for something I ended up not doing. Anyway, I'd love to get out of the negative column at AGN and any suggestions or feedback would be appreciated.

Got one! I often use pinecones so I won't hurt them if I hit them.... but no worries there, cuz I can't hit a thing with a wrist rocket

Hey Makoda - I to use to have bb gun wars with friends. Stung like hell but the bb's wouldn't penetrate your jeans. I'm 61 and so this was at least 45 years ago... a different time
