LCS Sk-19 barrel

You are absolutely correct with that assumption. But then again pretty much everything I get is that way. My Impact had a bad regulator rod when it was new. My newest Yong Heng had no locktight on the 2nd stage piston so it tore itself up within a couple hours of use. Both of my Ruger .22 pistols and one of my rifles were recalled. And on and on...

I hear these have Lothar Walther barrels. Mine was shooting to many flyers so I took the barrel out for inspection and found this ugliness at the crown. I really don't know how this could slip by the QC at the LW factory and the assembly folks at LCS as well.

Really weird since the LCS comes with an LW stainless steel Polygonal barrel... and those photos are not a Poly barrel rifling.?

Looks like standard rifling to me too.

I have gotten worse on some new guns , So how does it work now ? will manufacturer send you a barrel or what ? please keep us updated , Sometimes things happen but it is how it is dealt with that matters

LOU

I sent an e-mail to the LCS people with the same pics so we will see what happens. I just asked for a replacement barrel though cuz I don't want to send the whole gun in. Will keep you informed.

I thought I read some where these were manufactured in China and assembled in the US.

I expect some of the parts may be made in China but my manual says made in USA. Makes me wonder if that's just the manual that's made in the USA. I don't think they make any of the LW barrels in China though. Kind of reminds me of the decades back Crosman barrels I used to get.

I’ve been lucky so far with my LCS SK 19 in .25 cal, knock on wood. I have seen in earlier discussion about the problems other members were having but now I have to double check my barrel to make sure it’s a poly.
I think lately with the popularity of Airguns and how much it has grown. All of these manufacturers building new types of Airguns are skimping on QC to get the guns out in the consumer’s hands. Maybe the manufacturers should build quality not quantity. It’s like when I started up my business I told myself I don’t need to make a million dollars over night, provide good service customers will come, now I have to turn away work.
Aloha, Keone

yes tell them just send barrel ,I guess if it was a cheap used gun you could cut off and rethread and crown but it is a brand new $2000 gun , either a new barrel or a new gun is fair ,Have you had it past 30 days? ,

Where are you guys reading it is a poly barrel ? I see it says LW only

Cut off and re-crown is what I did with my cheap Crosman barrels. But like you said this is a $2K gun Yes, I have had it a couple of weeks over 30 days. Seems like I remember hearing that it had a poly barrel somewhere but I do not recall where.

QC is a good thing and I think most companies try to implement it. But sorry to say many of the individual werqers are just there for the paycheck and do the minimum required to stay employed. It's really sad to see the changes of this type over the past couple of decades. Good for you and your attitude towards quality.

This gun sure looks and sounds fun to shoot but I'm reading more problems than I should....i have a feeling the priest 2 or prophet would be the direction i would take . I really dont need semi auto never mind full but if i had to pick i would just pick want semi auto.

I have been burned on Semi auto guns before. A forward cocking lever on the shooters weak side is the best and most reliable trade off in my IMHO. These problems are why the really big YT hunters are not making video with their Semi autos.

Well I can tell you one thing for sure Lw barrels don’t look like that from the factory! 12groove or poly! That’s machining marks from LCS!, builders will machine a few thousands off the ends with a pilot in the bore to square it up, but it shouldn’t look like that! If you have a borescope would be interesting to look down the length of the bore?

bad picture, best I could get to see inside of my SK-19 in .22

I count 12 pathways
