I have threaded a Tanto, Shogun, Sumo, and a Ronin onto the .22 Kratos barrel (No shroud).
All moderators are .25 cal bore size. (I ordered the Tanto and the Sumo in .22 but the bore of them appears exactly the same size as the .25 models)
POWER ADJUSTMENT SET BETWEEN 1/2 and 3/4.
.22 KRATOS (shot outdoors in an open area.)
The Tanto definitely works. There is a slight sharp pop in the report but overall it is nearly as quiet as the stock shroud. For its size this thing is exceptional.
The Sumo, Shogun, and Ronin are all very close in effectiveness on the .22 Kratos. Tiny differences in the tone of the shot. Noise level remains about the same. (About equal to the stock shroud)
NOTE: I have added a foam “filter” to the rear of the Kratos’ vented shroud. As you may see in the picture it is definitely cycling air through it as evidenced by the black lead dust on it. Adding this tiny ring of foam that I made from a strip of JSB pellet can liner foam has made a great deal of difference in the tone of the original stock shroud. After installing it seems to take one or two initial shot cycles for the foam to settle into place and start making a difference. Everyone should give this a try, it works great!! The stock shroud on the .22 Kratos is now just as quiet as any of the aftermarket moderators I have used.
edit: With stock shroud left ON and Ronin installed via the donnyfl adapter endcap there is no discharge sound other than the mechanical noise of the action and the tank ringing. I did not try any of the others in combination with the shroud.
