Kral Puncher Jumbo .22

Been a long time since I've shot an airgun. Many things going on in life from all aspects and man I just wanna shoot! My EVOL Tac .22 has been about 8 months since order, my Raptor Mini .22 about 14 weeks (told them to hold until adjustable regs come in) and I haven't shot much at all that entire time as I cleaned out the safe in anticipation of them. I couldn't wait any longer and picked up the Kral Puncher Jumbo .22 in the classifieds. I've wanted one for these for a long time as I love the looks of them and kinda like a poor man's FX Royale but with better looks IMO.

(This is no dig or complaint at all on AAA or JSAR I knew the waits when I ordered its just a really good excuse for me to try out a gun at a great price that I've been eyeing for 2 years)

So I got the gun and was able to put 2 mags (12 shot mags) down range with AA 16gr on high power. So far very impressed with the rifle. Accuracy is great so far with a rifle I've barely got to handle yet so I'm happy with that. The stock is gorgeous and very comfortable to shoulder. It's also very sturdy unlike other thumbhole stocks I see that look like toothpicks. The sidelever is very smooth and I was surprised how easy it was to cock. Steve from AEAC acted like it was stiff to cock so I guess we have different opinions on difficult coming from Mrods lol. It's got a bark to it but my plan is to actually turn this gun down in power 15-20fpe for use with CPDs or Hades for backyard pesting and in our barns. I'm looking forward to how the power adjuster works on it for that purpose and hopefully tame it alittle. Only complaint I have about it is the trigger is just ok. Not heavy but needs alittle work to get it crisp.

Turned it down to about 1/2 power on the port adjuster and shot some groups with Hades and 14.3 CPDs. I still need to run it over the chrony to see what speeds it's at but I think it's in the ~650fps range based on AEACs results. Didn't do much for the sound but it's really not bad.

These are the CPDs at 30yds and 5 shots. Seems to like them pretty well.

6 shots at 50yds with the Hades. I pulled the high one so shot one more to prove it was my fault and sure enough was. Not sure why I didn't think to try the CPDs at 50yds but another day I will. But will prove to be a great pester with this kind of accuracy!

Here's pics of it with a Discovery 4.5-18x44 SFP scope. The gun is a looker for sure!

Hey dairyboy, I too love my puncher jumbo. Mine is a .25 cal I have a carbon fiber bottle and an Alteros regulator. I have been making slugs in 25 cal that work great out to 100 yards. About a 1.77" 10 shot group . I increased the power to 60fpe. Troy hammer has done a 1" group with pellets at 100 yards. I'm currently working on adding an adjustable check riser and carving a thumb rest like a spot stock. I love this gun

Here's a video on adding a bottle and regulator if you ever decide to.

Kind of funny, my story is the opposite of yours. I tried to get one of these in 22 as a budget project. Just couldn't make it happen. (no availability, lack of communication, ect.) ended up getting a walnut crown continuum instead. I also shoot it almost always at - 16 fpe with hades.

In any case, those always seemed to be real performers, and for the money, seems like a winner. Hope you can get the trigger adjusted. Good luck 🙂

The trigger is easy to adjust. On the bottom of the action you have the trigger and a tetter-totter bar that moves the sear

. The sear has a hex head set screw that will adjust how far the sear engages the hammer. reduce the depth of the engagement (by screwing the bolt inward). Make small adjustments and leave some room for safety. always test before you trust it.

Thanks @Thebanker4 PM sent! I'll be looking into the reg and bottle maybe later on looks slick!

Thanks Long_Gun_Dallas! Funny how that worked for you. I've definitely been eyeing the Continuum myself but just couldn't justify the money with so much tied up in the pre-orders on the other guns. But very happy with this Jumbo so far!

Thanks JimNM! I've heard they were easy to work on but never messed with it yet. Sounds simple. And yeah I don't mind a heavier trigger as long as I can get it crisp. As a hunting gun will definitely be on the safe side for the sear engagement
