Kral NP03 - Lane or Huma Regulator?

Many thanks for the prompt and your take on the Huma regulator. Especially using the .25 plenum.

Getting comfy with it now. The accuracy is quite impressive as is the overall quality of the gun.

It does favor the JSB 18 grain. Not saying that H&N 21 grain or Crosman 14grain aren't acceptable for plinking.

It was very accurate right out of the box without even cleaning the barrel using Crosman 14gr.

Many more pellets to try out of curiosity.

It does have more knockdown power than the Artemis PP700 set up as a carbine (15 fpe) vs Kral NP03 (25 fpe).

I've read/hear that from a couple out folks who own the Kral NP03 about it not needing a regulator.

Does this mean that you didn't do any mods and just shoot it stock, as it came from the factory?

I'm still in the honeymoon stage with mine. Still running various pellets through it to break it in.

Which moderator, if any, do you find does a good job of making it backyard friendly?

It does appear to like the JSB 18 and the Hades 16 the best.

That's not to say it won't do well with Crosman Premier HP 14.3 and H&N 21.

Time will tell what it likes the best I'm sure.

Thanks ,

Matt

If we'd all follow those rules, we'd only buy one gun and never learn to tinker nor when to leave well enough alone.:)

If you wanted more you could have bought the mega saved time and money and got the large tube and longer barrel included for $50 more. Tinker with that to get even more but know what a gun is going in. JMHO And I'm the #1 Kral fan here.

Matt,

I had a NP03 .22, I think I purchased from pyramid. The gun was good but of course I thought by adding a huma reg that it would be better. Spent the money on the reg, installed and wasn't happy. In my opinion you loose to much air space in the already small air tube and my shot count went down. I removed the reg, got a hold of Troy and sent him the gun to tune. All I can say was extremely happy with the results. The gun shot very consistent, no reg needed! The shot cycle was smoother not as violent if that makes sense... Ditch the reg, take Troy' s advise and you'll be happier in the long run!!! Good luck.

Ed 24 - As it stands now my NP03 with the following mods is my favorite PCP to shoot over the three other brands I own(Crosman, Benjamin, Beeman, Nova Liberty.and Artemis.

- Twin Spring from Troy

- Huma Reg

-330 cc air tube

All I can say if you or anyone else thinks I should own something better, I'd be more than happy to own it if you buy it for me :)

My friends used to bust my $#ll's about why I don't buy a truck/brand they/type deemed to be better than the brand/type I choose.

My reply was it you think I should own 'X' brand/type vehicle that you think I would be more happy with, I'm all for it if you buy it for me.

None have taken me up on the offer.

Don't take it personally, I do appreciate all suggestions and opinions.

Matt,

Wasn't implying you should shoot something else. Just giving my reason why I didn't think a regulator was necessary on the stock air tube of the NP03. I see in your last post you have a 330 cc tube on it so you definitely have the space for the regulator. I no longer have my NP03 .22 but it was a great shooting gun. Out to 50yrds was just as accurate as my Dreampup. Post a pic, would like to see it with that larger air tube! I do regret letting that one go as it was one of my favorites...

Ed - And I didn't take it that you were saying I should be shooting some else.
