Tuning kral np03 disassembly

Have you taken down any other Kral guns? Here is how my Kral breaks down

bleed off the air tank. Crack the gauge threads slowly

Take the stock off (one bolt from under the hand grip.

Look for two set screws between the trigger guard and the tank tube. On the bottom surface of the gun.

THAMMER has a video on taking down the Puncher Breaker. These may help you.

I saw those but not being that familiar with the Kral line I wasn't aware they were that similar.

Will take a look of them to use as a reference.

The airtube that was sent is a complete unit with the gauge which shows that it was filled before being shipped out.

Since the airtube is one complete assembly it doesn't look like it needs degassing. Guessing it's more of a precaution than anything.

Many thanks for your prompt reply.

The air tube swap is pretty straight forward.

Remove the screw by the trigger guard and the one that holds the collapsible stock.

Loosen the two set screw that hold the airtube in place. Pull airtube straight out.

Replace with new airtube.

I used the Caldwell App on my iPad.

I shot one magazine (12 pellets Crosman Premier 14.3 grain) with the new Kral tube.

Specs of the tube are 330cc vs 180cc

Fill bar is same which is 200.

Filled to 200 bar.

After 12 shots the gauge read 180.

My average FPS is 931.6

I was hoping I recorded the Crosman 14.3 HP pellet before the tube change but I didn't.

I did record the JSB Hades 16gr before air tube change.

5 shots.

Avg 883

I didn't record how much air it used after the 5 shots, unfortunately.

How this helps.

It will definitely give more shots.

So I figure around 65-70 shots from the new airtube?

Thanks for the link on that video. I've got a leaking Kral Mega Marine and needed a little info on disassembly. What is the best way to empty the air reservoir? Is there a bleed off somewhere or do you just dry fire it till it's empty?
Don't dry fire til empty. You can damage the valve poppet. Just loosen the sir gauge til it starts to vent and let it sit til it gets a bit quieter hiss. Then slowly open some more and wait til it reads zero, then you should be good.

Good luck getting the valve cap off the tube for the first time! Clamp the tube in a vise with wood blocks and a strap of leather. Clamp it pretty good so it won't turn. Use a wrench on the back of the valve and get on there with some leverage. They crank those puppies down from the factory.

You may need to apply heat , they use a thread locktite . Be carefull squeezing the tube in a vise you can deform the tube . I put the tubes in a vise with wood pads with the addition of a strap wrench to prevent rotation . Wrench the valve housing off .
