Guys,
The day that my Nemesis arrived, my only vehicle also broke down..
I actually put the brand-new kit up for grabs here on the Member Classifieds page,
because I needed to get my ride back up and running, but, I received too many annoying / insulting offers..
That said, I decided just to keep it, but since then, I've only shot it a few times..
It's winter, so, I'm shooting inside - About 10 yards max distance unfortunately..
I tried 3 types of pellets.. Crossman Premier hollow points 14 grain, JSB 18.13 grain, and H&N 21 grain
On the very lowest power setting, this thing just sprayed the light pellets like a shotgun / birdshot patter. lol
It is way to fast/powerful in .22 cal for those.. Then I tried the JSBs, and the groups tightened right up!
Unfortunately, 3 tins of JSBs - Damn near all of mine are complete garbage..
Bent / deformed skirts, and the wall thicknesses are inconsistent too, so, sighting in was a royal pain..
The JSBs have pretty much just been flyer after flyer.. Very hard to judge the point of impacts.. Pretty lame..
The H&N pellets worked the absolute best! So, the heavier the better with this gun!
That was a quick group - using a really cheap CLife scope/laser combo..
I ran out of vertical elevation clicks, so, I was forced to use like 3-4 mils of hold-over.
I put my Discovery 6-24x50 scope on it, and tried that.. Nope.. Same deal..
I needed to use about 3.5 mils hold-over.. I was going crazy. Well, crazIER.
Then I pestered Hajimoto - He's a great guy, member here, and on Youtube..
I ran my issue by him, and he suggested I try FX's No Limits scope rings..
They'll lock the scope down like usual, but, they have two additional side-bolts..
Loosen them, tilt the rear of the scope up, and tighten them back down..
This literally re-positioned the scope to where not only I could zero normally, but,
it about centered my turret, so, I have a bunch of up and down clicks now..
So - I Highly Recommend those scope rings! For super short / super long distance anyways..
Regular distances like 30-50-75, probably 100 yards, they may not be needed, but no clue..
Anyways.. My master plan.. Tune the gun! But I couldn't because I didn't have a chronograph..
Well, screw it, I still don't have a working vehicle, so might as well buy the chrony..
I ordered a ProChrono-DLX, it got here, and I was all excited to get things dialed in..
Finally got the chrono bluetooth'd to my computer and phone . . . and . . . .
Nothing.. It wouldn't work at all.. Apparently they NEED the indoor-lighting-kit,
and I couldn't get it because it was out of stock at the time.. *Face Palm* *Sigh*
That has been ordered, and is currently in route.. Amazon Prime 2 day shipping.. Right?
No.... Monday is a holiday - So - I / we get to wait even longer.. Go figure right?!
When the chrono gets here, I'll be De-Tuning the power down to the point that in .22,
it will shoot the light weight Crossman Premier pellets..
Why? Well, because they're only $7 bux per tin of 500, and they shoot amazing!
They're cleaner, more uniform, and predictable - compared to the JSBs costing almost 4 x as much..
If you look at all of those, they are pellet in/on pellet in/on pellet..
That Is Pellet Stacking! Those were shot out of my Kral Puncher Breaker .22
I can Expect this type of accuracy from that gun, and from the Crosman Premier pellets..
So, I'd like to see the same type of accuracy from them out of the Nemesis too!
I just have to get it to shoot a lot slower and with less power/volocity first..
*Fingers Crossed*
