Gunnertrones…Heavy looking blade the tip looks like a spear.  Is there a purpose for that particular design ?

Not really. More a “design twist”. I like to experiment with different blades and shapes. Not always focus on the function. I like to say that the most functional knife often have the most “dull appearance”.  As my most preferred knife for instance. Dull, but It takes a really good knife to make a knife handle.

A few ZT's, Emersons, and Reate. I had to slow down on the knives to fund my airgun obsession.

Nice, I'm considering a ZT 0770CF.  Thin handles fit better in my pocket ;)

Sorry Intenseaty, but this thread have to be kept alive……😊

My last creation. Turkish walnut and plates with gold inlays. Not sure if it is real gold, but they were rather pricey.

You have me hooked and I don't have a good knife. Appreciate the artistry. I just gave a patient a very nice piece of Olive wood for a knife handle. Told him he had to send me a pic when he finished so I can at least contribute on this thread! Might even start me to start making one! LOL (like I need ANOTHER hobby)

Thanks for the good words Sonny.

NM, we await the result from your patient(?). Olive wood is a marvelous material, and gives spectacular results.

Dentist!  Can’t think of a profession better suited for detailed handcraft then that. «Midt i smørøyet», would be the expression in my country NM.

I spent most of my adult life working on kill floors in slaughterhouses, fat cattle mostly. I'm not knife obsessed, just appreciate a good knife. Looking at the pics of these pretty little toys and reading this thread is interesting. I trained new hires on how to keep a knife sharp, and have ground tens of thousands of knifes on a Cozzini knife sharpening machine. How many years experience do any of you folks have with AIR knives? I taught a 1/2 hour class every day before shift start on how to sharpen knives. I've literally killed several million cattle, all with a knife in my hand. Give me a Green River 6" skinning knife, a Green River 5" legging knife, a 6" Chicago Cutlery semi-stiff boning knife, my steels I made from chainsaw files and I can turn a 1200lb steer into a freezer full of meat.
