Kattan shooters?

The accuracy on my Katran L .25 cal was good (especially as it benefits from the fitted CZ barrel) and consistent out to the 100 yards I shot mine. Regulator gave a tight ES. I would still have mine if I had purchased the bottle model instead of the cylinder model.

Now overall I would not rate the accuracy of the platform quite in the same league as something like a Red Wolf or a RAW, at least in my hands. This would mostly be due to the Katran's minimalistic rear stock and light weight, and therefore my ability to get the rifle really steady on the bench. The inherent accuracy is definitely engineered into the gun, but even with the (very reasonably priced) Katran bag rider installed I could never get the gun quite as stable.

I had originally bought mine as hunter, but when I found a better platform for that in my hands, I transitioned the Katran to the bench. We had fun one weekend at the Cowboy range when we magnetically attached some small zombie targets to the top of the 100 yard gong. Seems like everyone who shot the gun, even if they had never touched it before, would take out a zombie by their 3rd shot or so. Here are some whole zombies to show their size, and some of the pieces we found after shooting:

I like the Katrans as a whole. I think that AirMaks makes some excellent guns, especially for the asking price. After I sold my Katran L I used that money towards a Katran CB which I also enjoy.
