Karma in the American air gun market!

Neil, I am sorry that my post caused such problems, that was not my intention. I only wanted to warn my fellow AGN friends that to make sure that they stay on the right side of the line when buying such devices. Most of the time issues only come up when fire arms are present and or when other laws have been broken and the devices are discovered during a search/seizure
I can see how my post would be a threat to your business but know that was not in any way my intention. In fact the reverse it's when people decide to try and make there own through You Tube copying plans or designs for firearm silencers and adapting them for an air rifle.

"iride"To my small understanding a air gun LDC will not work on a power burner,
It might work if you slowed the power burner down to under 1000 FPS,
But come on be real , Who the hell is going to do that...
I have handled and looked at a real Silencer what went on a Ruger 308 , It was nothing like the LDC that us air gunners shoot with.
I even made the remark, LIKE TO PUT THAT ON MY Cricket, The officer reply was NOPE, You can not do that its built as a firearm silencer.

Mike
That partially correct, partially not. Using an LDC on a powderburner using subsonic ammo is very very illegal.

I'm not an engineer nor have I ever built and ldc for either but the general concept is to slow and disrupt the air leaving the barrel.
That being said an LDC built to stand up to a firearm of the same caliber should work, while an LDC built for an airgun and it's materials specifically spec to an airguns presure would not stand up to a firearm that is the way it should be this would protect Air Rifle users for further scrutiny

Neil,
I purchased an airgun from Wild West with one of your LDCs on it a couple of years ago. When this all came about, my first concern was that these knuckleheads may have involved you in something by using your LDCs in an improper manner. I'm glad that you replied to this thread and I'm very relieved that their stink isn't getting on your boots.

You make a great LDC, by the way. I'll be ordering another one from you once I get my Christmas shopping done.

Scott who knows what they did or said, I assume that if they had somehow implicated me for something I would have had a visit by now. Not that I am that worried about it, I have countless copies of e-mails from people asking me to make them a silencer for their fire arm and copies of my responses to them showing that I stick 100% to the law and only make these for air guns. I would rather not have to go through the hassle of having to explain myself to them though, but if they do pay me a visit then they will have to pay every air gun maker who sells an air gun with a silencer on it a visit too, I think they have better things to do with their time. Thanks for the concern but I think the stink stuck with them and stayed at their doors. All the best, Neil.

"puertorico"I beg to differ. Peter always treated me with kindness and respect. Always sent me pictures of rifles I was interested in and would set them up to the fpe I asked (I would chrony and verify). Yes, he broke the law, (many do for money, difference is he got caught as will everyone eventually )but for us as an airgun community I only have positive things to say about him.
I do not know the full details of the case these two folks are involved in and I do not think anyone here really knows the full facts either. I do know that I have had experience with Peter Plesinger and have no complaints what so ever. He has always been very fair and honest with me. I just find it sad that he got mixed up in this kind of a mess. Whether it be bad judgement or willful violation I would let the courts decide. I have had no experience with Steven Smith.

The legal facts ( which will read just slightly different than say the news paper or such ) are listed in the Court Brief which was updated as of two days ago. If interested in "facts" they are public record.

I had thought this thread locked ( but then again I think better on some days than others) "I" am glad this forum will allow speaking of such facts ( but NOT slamming folks, talking OT sthufff.... ) as this did start - the legal problems not the start date of crime- in early 2014.
I have a feeling ( and that's all it is ) that the fellow who purchased topgun name/business from one of the criminals ( if you've entered a plea you are NOW guilty even if not sentenced ) very likely was NOT told he and the business were under current indictment?

IF this information could have been spoken of on a public forum back in 2014 , some folks could have been forewarned.

I personally do NOT conduct any business with any person engaged or convicted of most any ole crime! Okay, you do sometimes drive 5mph over the limit, not what I am talking about even tho I do my best to drive the exact speed limit, stuff happens. Anyone engaged in any felony criminal conspiracy I want nothing to do with them, period. Don't care about the reasons why they did it. How "nice" they are ........ .

Hey all. Jimmy D. Here. I've been off forums lately but I'm back here & new AGW. I like how this site is set up more.

I have to say a few things on this subject from my personal circumstances & I hope they're taken w/ a grain of salt.

For those that don't know me, I'm clean since 05 & allowed air guns & Archery only. I follow that regulation. 100% positive BOI, out of jail since 05-06 & clean. Now, this is what makes me worry, mad, & a warning to you all.

First, forget this OP. Realize this though. I've had concerns since .25's but an Alphabet org Agent assured me I'm OK. Well, w/ all that's going on, & the air gun world pushing new limits, I just don't know how long it'll be until we end up like Britain or anything above .177 or .22 requires a clean record. PA use to allow black powder until some dumb ass 1% shot an Officer w/ one. Even BP pistols were allowed for felons. Not now. I personally prefer air guns because I don't like the loud boom. I hate ranges & twitch anytime someone else fires. So, I'm blessed I found air guns. Keep in mind a criminal can get a hot hand gun for under $200.00. They aren't going to spend what I did on AZ Rapids. I don't ever leave my property unless I have to.

Second. If anyone knows the guy on YouTube w/ the video entitled "The Worlds quietest sniper rifle & why The Gov won't regulate it." PLEASE tell him to change title or remove. I could be wrong but I don't think Air Force or Ton Jones wants it portrayed that way. It's on Demolition Ranch & I'd honestly like to talk to that young man.

Hunting varmints in PA just passed. I'm excited to hopefully be able to teach 2 Children distance & target shooting. I have my sights set on 3 more rifles. A Jager .30 w/ short unchoked barrel. A RAW .30 & .357. A compressor & I'm done. Technically we all know anyone can obtain anything w/ money & I'm so secluded, suppressed or not, no one would complain here as it's legal for neighbors to shoot on property w/ natural or man made berm. My one neighbor has a Lambhoghini & his Class 3. Good to know I have great neighbors as response time is 45 minutes.

One more thing. From the mouth of the Alphabet org agent. A silencer is ANYTHING that can lower a shot by even one decibel, one time. Even if it then is ruined or blown up w/ no blast baffle. A potato on the end of a any barrel that spits a lead pellet or bullet IS A SILENCER. Now, for most guys, no problem if factory attached. If I owned any threaded for air gun, not firearm. If I owned slip over TKO style. Any Officer COULD decide to charge me. I may beat it but I'd be sitting in jail & praying on a Public Defender when in reality they want to keep prisons full & felons in the system.

So I know there are good guys like me. Be careful. I warned someone long ago about a titanium run they did. He said all's good but thank you. I still worry for him. My best friend is an FFL machinist, dealer, bragging here but cleaned the clocks of the Marine snipers at the black hat tactical shooting school. 100% in every part of the course. Same guy who put 5 in roughly .312 @ 200yrds w/ handloads & a rifle he built. Look up Aggelis Arms online. His Instagram page shows much of his machining work & I seriously can't tell what's his or CNC made. I owe him the praise of my .177 Discovery being the one & only PCP I've kept from the time he showed me I can still have fun & be legal. I'd like to keep it that way as arrows are expensive & just can't do what I can w/ an air gun.
