Just wasn't meant to be....?

This is kind of a long story. I've been wanting either a HW97K or an AA TX200 MKIII pretty badly. A few days ago I said to heck with it and decided I would order an HW97K from Krale. They have the best prices even after shipping. Now, I did my homework as to how the order process goes with them. I had a copy of my ID ready and placed an online order. My CC transaction would not go through. So, I call my bank and sure nuff they blocked the transaction for fraud prevention reasons. I told them that I am the one making this order, so they say ok, no problem, we will unblock and allow the transaction to go forward. After several attempts, it still wouldn't process. Krale says that my CC info is incorrect. Thats absolutely wrong....same card I use for everything, everyday. Attempted the transaction several times.....info was correct. So I get irritated and say....ok then, won't be buying one this way. After sitting on the idea for a day, I decide again to bite the bullet and just go ahead and order an AA TX200 from Pyramid Air. Expensive purchase! But, I really wanted one and I had the money set aside for such a thing. So, I place an order for the TX and go to bed dreaming with visions of a TX200 MKIII dancing through my head. Two days later, I'm checking the order status frequently, my account still says "we are in the process of pulling your order" or something like that. So I call them up and ask if there is a problem. After putting me hold for a bit to "check on it", they come back and tell me that the lot of TX200's that they have in stock is a bad lot. I ask, what do you mean. I'm told that after being inspected, the rifles that they have in stock do not meet their standards, so they will not ship them. As soon as they get another shipment in, my order can be processed. They would not elaborate as to what was wrong with them for them to not meet their standards. So......I canceled the order all together. I am VERY curious as to what was wrong with the TX's they have in stock. Quality control issues? Who knows.

It just wasn't meant to be.

Aw man.. Sorry to hear about your Extremely Frustrating experiences!
I know exactly how it goes.. I had the same thing happen to me a few times..

1st with AirgunsOfArizona when my CC was flagged for fraudulent activity - over and over and over..
I called the bank, they blamed a 3rd part protection company.. I called them, they blamed the bank..
It was a vicious cycle, and finally I gave up.. I ended up getting a Paypal debit card, linking it to my checking account, and using that..
Amazingly, it worked first try..

Last month, I also placed an order with Krale over in the Netherlands..
Wouldn't ya know it.. Same deal.. Credit cards were flagged.. That order finally went through though..

But I just had another order not go through here in the states, and it was to do with the way personal info was set up..

When we first apply for our credit cards, we'll use our address, zip code, etc.. The cards are locked to that.. I just found out about this..

I moved.. No longer live where I was when I got my cards..

I updated all of my billing and shipping info - with my new address...

Well, that can be a problem.. Cards / orders kept getting flagged..

Finally, I went back into all of the personal info settings, and for billing, I changed the info back to my old address..
*The one used when initially setting up the cards..

Sure enough - that worked! So, you could try to double check that?!

Hang in there, and hopefully *knock on wood* you'll have some better luck!

Don’t give up that easily! Either or these springers are worth the hassle. Maybe wait a day or two and try to run the charge through Krale again?

The news from PA is actually good to hear. There are several reports from new TX200 owners (bought from PA) that there is rust in the barrels. Probably just a bad batch, but nice to see that PA is returning them to AA and not just shipping them out.

I have purchased 2 Air Rifles from Krale thus far. I did experience the "hickups" or "learning curve", but they were relatively easily mitigated. On my second purchase, I already knew of the CC issue, so I anticipated it. The prices can not be beat, period, including the shipping cost. As for shipping, shoot, I think they use "Beam Me Up Scotty" Technology, it is insane how fast those rifles made it from NL to my door, including going through customs.

Just got home from work and read all the responses to my post. I too think that PA did the right thing that we all hope a vendor would do by not selling a rifle that they know is not up to standard. So yes......good on them. The Krale issues are what they are. I think some misread my Krale adventure. I initially didn't call my bank. But I did after the first transaction failed. It was after my bank lifted the block on the transaction, that I made several attempts and it was Krale telling me my CC info was incorrect. Not so......the CC info was correct. It's all good though. The title of my post was meant to be a little tongue in cheek humor. I'm not distraught or dejected feeling because of this...LOL. It was more of "you gotta be kidding me, thats my luck" kinda thing. It would also be different if I didn't have an air rifle. But, I have two fine rifles already that do everything that I need. So I'll sit back again and ponder on whether or not I want to try my luck again on getting an HW97, or wait on PA to get in an up to snuff batch of TX200's. In no rush here.........I'll keep on with my Diana 34 and enjoy! Heck, I might not do anything. I have a project in mind for one of my 34's that I may just go forward with instead. We'll see..............

Appreciate it.

Count your lucky stars. About 5 years ago I ordered a TX200 from Straight Shooters because, at that time, they were the only ones that had the gun in stock. When it came, something wasn't quite right. I put it on the chrony and it was shooting at 500FPS. Took it down and couldn't find anything wrong. Called Straight Shooters and told them the gun had a problem and I wanted to send it back. Nope, you have to send it in for warranty. WHAT!!!! All the talking in the world didn't change anything. I sent it in but the repair guys were at the shot show and the gun didn't come back for a month. They said it had a cracked piston sleeve and a number of them were coming through that way.

Needless to say, my dealings with Straight Shooters were done from that time forward. The gun is one of the best I have now.

Koodos to P.A. for being upfront.

Sorry to hear about your misadventures with buying a springer from Krale. I had no problems with ordering from Krale. The first time I ordered from Krale I contacted my credit card company before ordering. After that, I had no problems ordering additional air rifles, scope and other stuff from Krale.

Recently, I purchased an oversees flight (round trip to England) and my credit card company contacted me via text message to confirm and validate my purchase. After I confirmed the valid purchase, the transaction went through as expected.

As for Pyramyd Air, it should be a good thing to hear that they will not sell you a defective sub-standard product. TX200 is one of the best springers to get.

Good luck

What do you guys do if you buy a gun from Krale and have issues? The only guns I have seen really cheaper from them is Weihrauch. I think I paid about $50 more on my last Weihrauch HW97K vs buying from Krale. My money stayed in US. Right where I want it.

Frankly, I don’t know. I have never had a problem with them. I have read from other guys that they have taken care of any problems before. I will however only buy Springers from there, I don’t think I want to take that chance with a PCP.

As for the $ in the USA, I hear ya, I’m as patriotic as they come, but reality is that the HW97K is a German manufactured gun, with parts and or metals sourced from probably around the world, if the stock is Minelli, then Italy takes a bite too. The dealer in the USA is just taking $50 bump in them. I would be more apt to buy a Sig ASP20 or a Crosman if that was a dealbreaker for me, and even then, those materials are probably sourced as well.

I think that manufactures in the US need to take their game up a bit and be a world leader again. Because in the end, if it was only $ I wanted to save, I would just buy the Crosman.

Today I found out exactly why PA informed me that they couldn't fulfill my order for the TX200. It was what I had kinda suspected. I contacted them and was told that the lot of TX200's they currently had in their inventory, all had the barrel corrosion issue that we have all heard about. So, they are currently out of stock, due to the fact they sent them all back to Air Arms. As soon as they get a lot that passes "muster", they will be available again. I have to say, that as frustrating as this was to me, I truly appreciate PA inspecting and refusing to sell and ship out substandard rifles. I have spent, what I consider to be, quite a bit of money with PA. This even though they are not always the cheapest place around. This level of quality service and standards makes me feel better about paying a bit more for some things some times.

I bought a TX200 from PA the beginning of December, no rust. Yet I had learned of the rust issue before I purchased...didn't bother me much, I brush and clean my barrels when I buy them. Rifle shoots great. So, either my luck of the draw was good, or PA inspected it!

It's true that you usually pay more from PA. Their customer service is tops, tho! And their packaging is excellent! I'm a happy camper.
