Just received my first PCP. Brocock Contour S6 Elite. 22

I just received my first PCP in the mail. Brocock Contour S6 Elite in .22 cal. I bought it new from TGAG. It's listed on the website as the Contour Standard but it's the Elite version, 16 FPE. I've been eyeing this little carbine for awhile. The overall length is only 29.5". It comes with 2 clips and a fill probe but no male foster fitting to attach to the probe. It does not come with a moderator/LDC but I'll be ordering one from Neil Clague. I took a chance ordering it from TGAG because I was not sure if they changed over to the newer skeleton stocks like the ones pictured on Brocock's website and AOA.

I wanted the rifle in .22 with the older walnut thumbhole stock but TGAG's website has both .177 and .22 cal. There is no option on the site to choose between the two calibers so I put a note in the comment section that I wanted the .22 version at checkout. I should be receiving my Hill MK4 hand pump, scope rings, and JSB pellets in a couple days or so. I'm gonna cannibalize the Hawke 4-16 scope from my RWS 34 to install it on my Contour for the meantime until I save up for a SWFA 1-4×24 to replace it.

I know this carbine is not the most powerful but I wanted something small, lightweight, and easy to fill by hand pump. Something for around the house because my range is limited to 30-40 yards. I'm still saving up for a Vulcan bullpup .25 with the newer stock. I'll be updating this thread as I go along. Hope the pics show up.

"amoxom"Looks like you have the newer version with larger air cylinder, pressure gauge, and likely more shots per fill... Roughly how many are you getting per fill with this set up?
I believe this is the older version. The newer ones have a skeleton stock. No thumbhole. Brocock and AOA's website have the current pics up but I could be wrong. As far as how many shots per fill, I don't know yet lol. I currently don't own any tanks and I'm still waiting for my Hill hand pump to arrive. From what I researched, this model in 16 FPE gets about 18 to 20 shots per fill.

Its a sweet looking little rifle, the kind you can carry around all day. I just looked at the specs. on AOA and it says it puts out 26.8 fpe. Do you have a chrono. you can run the shots over and determine the fps, fpe and when the power drops off. If its not regulated you will want try chart the the shot string to get a good bell curve for the best starting fill pressure. Bill

NeilClagueI have the Contour single shot version with the thumb-hole stock, the guns weigh next to nothing. It looks like yours has a shroud on it, unless it has just got a very large diameter barrel? It certainly looks like they have made some changes, and improvements to the Contour line of guns, hope you enjoy it, Neil.

The barrel is shrouded but it ends about a 1/2 inch after the muzzle and does not have any effect on dampening the sound. This gun is loud! When I received it, the gauge showed it had 150 bar in it. I went outside to shoot one round over my chrony to get an idea of what it was pushing. It was so loud after letting one shot off that I ran back inside my house. Using H&N FTT 14.66gr., my chrony read 712fps, which comes out to 16.51 FPE.

Yes, this rifle is very light and the ergonomics are great. I do have a chrono and when I receive my Hill MK4 hand pump I ordered, I'll run a shot string and post it here. Also, this rifle is not regulated.

There is 2 different Contour carbines pictured on AOA. The Contour XL G6 (Olive green stock) and the Contour Elite S6 with walnut stock.

Brocock Contour XL G6. (23 ft/lbs) in .22

Brocock Contour Elite S6 (16 ft/lbs) in .22

Hi. I bought one from TGAG too a few months ago. I had a problem with the air fill on mine, and accuracy was so-so. I did a complete overhaul, extended the airtube and put a foster fill on it, changed the barrel, made a shroud, and did minor valve work. It shoots best with JSB 18.13 JSBs, and then 14.3 JSBs. It is light weight, fun to shoot, and I love the walnut stock. Good luck.

Yes. I remember your post and what you had to do. Hopefully everything works out because I don't possess the skills that you do. On another note, I'm a little confused as to what barrel I have. Lothar Walther or Weihrauch?

Congratulations on an awesome gun! You most likely have the Weihrauch. This was, if I am correct, the last version before the Diana (Daystate) group bought Brocock. I had one and the barrel was very accurate. A Leapers Compact 4-16X44 scope is the perfect compliment to the gun so consider that one as well. It is an awesome, lightweight hunter for the range you are shooting at. Pick up a moderator for it to make it quiet and it's a simply awesome gun. I wish I never sold mine.

Thanks. Do you remember what pellets grouped good? I have some JSB Exact 15.89gr and 18.13gr Heavy on the way. I also have some left over H&N FTT 14.66gr.

They are fairly loud air guns but they are very easy to get quiet, I am confused as to why you did not get a moderator with the gun. It says they come with a moderator, they are useless and not worth having but still, I thought the gun came with one. My other Brocock came with a Hugget that looked very much like the one shown in the picture, it came off immediately as it did almost nothing to the report of the gun, Neil.

If you go to TGAG's website, it states in the bottom of the description,...
"Optional Accessories; Moderator, extra magazine, gun case".

I did receive an extra magazine but no moderator or gun case shipped with it. Only the factory cardboard box.
