Just purchased a ATN X Sight 4K Pro!

I've been waiting patiently for the ATN x sight scope to get its bugs worked out! Which from what I've been reading seems like it's much better. Can't wait to get it has a lot of good stuff on it. Does anyone know when the range finder attachment will be available? Love the idea of the scope adjusting zero for your shot! I know there will be some work on part for that because you'll need to have the right BC and fps to have your poi hit it's mark. Any ATN owners out there have the range finder attachment yet? Everywhere I look it's still not available for purchase.

Congratulations!

I've been waiting, and am still waiting to get my paws on an ATN X-Site scope..

The range finder attachment seems like a really nice add-on, so hopefully you'll find one soon..

Me personally - I was just going to go with a mini picatinny mount range finder like this one:

https://www.amazon.com/LaserWorks-Rangefinder-Hunting-Bow-700yard-mountable/dp/B07C98XMD9/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1550424125&sr=8-2&keywords=mini+picatinny+range+finder

They've gotten really good reviews in the UK and in the US, and the price isn't too bad either.

Simply select the wrench icon in the menu system. Select Profiles/Zero menu and all the applicable fields will be accessible (including zeroing the ABL). Select either Current or Other to create a new profile. Input your data and select save. Last thing to do is go back to the main menu, select Advance Shortcut to gain access to additional functions on the main menu. Scroll over to Ballistic Calc icon and select it to turn on the calculator. If you are lazy like me and don't like to hold for the wind, go the the Environment icon, enter the requested data for your area, and now the Ballistic Calc will compensate for wind providing you with POA/POI solutions.

Below is an example of the fields for Profiles/Zero (current or other). These are the parameters I have set for my Impact X in .22 shooting the 18.13 gr JSB Jumbo Heavy:

DRAG FUNCTION - G1

BC - 0.04

BULLET WEIGHT - 18.13 gr

MUZZLE VELOCITY - 900.00 ft/s

ZERO RANGE - 25.00 yd

SIGHT HEIGHT - 3.35 in (using included ATN rings)

Happy Shooting

Well I have had mine for a couple months but the air gun had to be sent in a couple times for air leaks. Got it back and went to zero the scope. LOCK UP. Wouldn't turn off, buttons didn't function, nothing.

Checked for updated firmware and downloaded IIRC .346. The scope had turned off overnight. Insert card, power on, "Do you want to update software? Yes, push button, circle thing, circle thing, stopped in the middle, won't turn off.

Any suggestions from those who know things?

Been playing with my ATN 4K for months now.

My opinion is that this thing is Junk. The scope freezes all the time. There’s been so many times when I have a target on the reticle and right when I’m about to take the shot the scope just freezes out of the blue for no reason. By the time you reboot the scope your bird/ hog or coyote is just gone! Talk about being pissed off! And it’s not just this scope. I returned this scope 3 times and the replacement does the same things. People at ATN are extremely rude. The tech told me to just use the scope as a scope for now that within the next 3 to 6 months everything should be worked out. Really?

I had the previous version and it worked fairly well. This new one is full of bugs. Can’t connect to the app to make a simple profile name change. Video during the day looks grainy and terrible unless I’m recording something at 30 yds or less. My experience with ATN is that we are the product testers, we pay almost 1k to sit and wait for new firmware updates. This last one I bought sat in my desk for a few weeks and I trusted the fools at ATN who told me that connection fix would be on this new firmware. Now I’m past the return period and I’m stuck with this junk. The last firmware made things even worst. It’s a great concept but just not ready for the public release yet.

I also had their range finder until yesterday. It did work most of the times. I did have the correct ballistics in there and when I changed my range to target it did make the reticle adjustments to get me close to target. It wasn’t dead on, but fairly close.

My final thought was that it’s just too much money for mediocre quality and a lot of bugs.

I can easily pull my phone out and get my holdovers from StrelokPro and be dead on accurate without having to pay a grand for a scope and range finder.

Yesterday i returned the range finder and sold the scope on eBay. Took a big hit on the scope but now I have peace of mind.

I'm just guessing that the hardware and or firmware isn't capable of doing what it suppose to according to the features listed. If there isn't enough processing bandwidth to do everything then something has to be dropped. A proper firmware design will drop things in an orderly and prioritized manor.

e.g. Buttons get priority, then video on the eye piece, then local video capture, then streaming video.

Depending on the hardware used this may be tricky to pull off.

The owners that seem to like it don't have it connected and streaming video on WiFi. The more things you have it try to do the more chance of lockup.

That's disappointing that there is still so much struggle with this scope. I was hoping the current firmware had everything worked out. Freezing and not working when you go to take a shot would be the most frustrating thing that could happen. Well I hope the one I ordered works when I get it, I'll trying everything I can to test it out in my allotted return time.
