Just ordered the 39 grain Nielson Specialty Ammo Hollow Points

I purchased the 25 cal sample pack of 100, 25 of each weight to test in my Vulcan. Tried the 34 grain first and shots were all over the place, to the point that after the fourth shot went.....who knows where? I'm shooting in a residential neighborhood and have about .5 acre of woodlands behind my target area with open field about 20 acres beyond. I was thinking that from a weight stand point they are the same as the JSB MKII at 33.95 gr., which is one hole at 40 yds. But the 34 gr slugs did not shoot very accurately for me, I was shooting at 2 ft by 2 ft plywood target nailed to a tree with poster board taped to it. Two shots hit the poster board with a 10 inch spread, third barely nicked the side of the target, forth went careening through the woods. I stopped shooting at this point.

I did load the slugs into the 9 shot mag and the slugs felt as though they were pushed by the pellet probe just like the JSB MKII, I'm thinking a single shot tray would give better results, but will not try them again until I get to a range with proper backstop. And a shot tray for my Vulcan.

"Hynzie"havent tried that particular one but have the 46 grain 30 cal epp .the bottoms on mine were all eggish shape ,strange cause it didnt affect accuracy which was pretty good ,idk if there super busy.. i left 2 messages asking if they would consider selling bulk.. ,that have gone un returned ,
Very strange, Nick always responds to me that day or sometimes the next.
I am shooting his .25 39gr in a re-valved Marauder and getting nice accuracy at 50 yards but the lighter pellets (not the heaver) did not preform that well... basically if the choke on the airgun is not suitable they will not work. I have shot all of the various weights under 50gr in an UN-CHOKED barrel and they were tack-drivers. All the 50's need an unchoked barrel and lots of power to preform and do awesome if shot over 850FPS. But others with different rifles got different results so you have to test to see what you get.

His 290gr .457s will shoot 3/4" groups in my Texan at 50 yards and I have a friend who I have watched shoot the same NSA bullet in his Texan into 3/4" at 100 yards! As Clint Eastwood said: "A man has got to know his limitations" but I still get a little jealous at his skill that I just can't seem to find for myself no mater how much I shoot! ? ! ? !
