Just ordered my first night vision

I have wanted to buy a night vision and a thermo scope , I posted a few topics t see what others are using and I then decided to get a Digital night vision, I found a great deal on a Pulsar N550 , I saw them from $1500 down to $619 for new and re manufactured $599-$399 . SO I just ordered it yay .



I also ordered a ATN IR-850 IR Light with pic adapter ,

also I guess with an Illumanator you can see farther ,as it needs some light to operate

I am hoping to be able to see say a rabbit or raccoon sized out to 100 yards , and can see say rats at 30 yards , I would love if it can see a deer at 300 but I dont know what to expect i will post results or video if he records I am not even sure if it does
 
I don’t think you’ll be able to see a deer at 300, partly because of illumination but also because you are looking at a screen instead of through glass and the N550 doesn’t have the best screen as it’s limited in resolution. Even if you use the scope in daylight you can’t discern a blob in your field of view any better than at night with that distance. With that said though it’s still a lot of fun to use hopefully you’ll get the N550A as that has a few key features over the non A version of the 550 (zoom, remote control, a few others). At $399 it’s a steal though when I got mine I was thrilled to pay $550 they are costly.
